We are a startup founded in 2015 by Romain Moulin
(former CTO of BAsystemes) and Renaud Heitz (former
software architect at General Electric).
To solve our customers logistics challenges we are
designing, producing and deploying mobile robots called
Exo capable of moving objects inside warehouses.
Exo has extra high tech capabilities and this is where we need you!
Our R&D department is located in Lille, 15mn
walk from the city center and the train stations,
30mn from Brussel, 1h from Paris and 2h from
London.
We are looking for a brilliant intern with
valuable technical skills, clear thinking and high
interest for robotics systems in order to
increase Exo motion performance when
moving bins inside warehouses. Your task will
be to implement with the help of our R&D
team advanced real time laser localization (ICP,
Kalman, Monte Carlo) and motion control algorithms (PID, model predictive control) to reduce
duration of every robot mission and make our system more efficient for our customers.
Your internship will include several topics:
Dive into Exo HW design: localization and motion sensors and actuators
Discover and learn Exotec robotics C++ industrial framework
Fast prototyping of all motion control ideas you will have to improve robot performance
Technical evaluation of prototyped solutions on an Exo in real warehouse conditions
Clean implementation in Exotec framework: your mark that will stay for the future!

We are looking for a brilliant intern with
valuable technical skills, clear thinking and high
interest for applied mathematics and robotic
systems in order to implement a robot mission
sequencing algorithm that offers the best
logistics capabilities to our customer using a
multi agents system composed of more than
100 mobile robots. The issue you will have to work on is NP complete (exponential with the number
of robot missions). As a consequence brute force algorithm cannot succeed and you will have to
imagine optimization and heuristics methods to provide an answer in real time.
Your internship will include several topics:
Understand robot missions impact on customer logistic indicators
Read bibliography and lead discussions with research labs on multi agent optimization
Prototyping of all AI ideas you will have to improve multi agent performance
Technical evaluation of prototyped solutions on an Exo fleet in real warehouse conditions
Clean C++ implementation in Exotec framework: your mark that will stay for the future!

programming. Your task will be to implement
with the help of our R&D team a real time
good-looking 3D visualization interface for a
fleet of more than 100 mobile robots. This
interface will allow our customers to have an intuitive way of supervising their logistics.
Your internship will include several topics:
Understand how our fleet of robots work in a logistic warehouse
Build mock ups with marketing team to create an outstanding user experience
Discover and learn Exotec robotics C++ industrial framework
Choose a C++ 3D library compatible with our performance and interaction needs
Implement in C++ a prototype to validate real time behaviour
Build 3D objects and scene
Final clean implementation in Exotec C++ framework: your mark that will stay for the future!
