Clinical Psychology

Clinical psychology is the branch of psychology concerned with the


assessment and treatment of mental illness, abnormal behavior and
psychiatric problems. This field integrates the science of psychology with the
treatment of complex human problems, making it an exciting career choice

Counseling psychology
Counseling psychology is one of the largest subfields in psychology. It is centered on
offering therapy and aiding clients who suffer from mental illness and psychological
distress. According to The Society of Counseling Psychology, the goal of counseling
psychology is to improve personal functioning by focusing on social, emotional,
educational, health, developmental, family, and work-related issues.

Educational psychology
Educational psychology involves the study of learning processes in humans

industrial psychology
The branch of applied psychology that is concerned with efficient management of
an industrial labor force and especially with problems encountered by workers in a
mechanized environment

Social psychology

is a branch of psychology that studies individuals in the


social context. In other words, it is the study of how and why people think, feel, and
do the things they do depending upon the situation they are in. Social psychology is
related to sociology in this regard, but instead of focusing on group factors such as
race and socioeconomic class, it focuses on the individual. Also, it relies on the
scientific research to generate the theories of social behavior
Community psychology studies the individuals' contexts within communities and
the wider society,[1] and the relationships of the individual to communities and
society. Community psychologists seek to understand the quality of life of
individuals, communities, and society. Their aim is to enhance quality of life through
collaborative research and action

Behavior analysis psychology


Behavior analysis is a school of psychology based upon the foundations and
principles of behaviorism. According to division of the of the American Psychological
Association (APA) devoted to this area of psychology, behavior analysis "...promotes
basic research, both animal and human, in the experimental analysis of behavior; it
encourages the application of the results of such research to human affairs, and
cooperates with other disciplines

The branch of psychology that deals with the relationship between the nervous
system, especially the brain, and cerebral or mental functions such as language,
memory, and perception.

Criminal psychology
It is related to the field of criminal anthropology. The study goes deeply into what
makes someone commit a crime, but also the reactions after the crime, on the run
or in court. Criminal psychologists are often called up as witnesses in court cases to
help the jury understand the mind of the criminal. Some types of Psychiatry also
deal with aspects of criminal behavior

Developmental psychology
Development describes the growth of humans throughout the lifespan, from
conception to death. The scientific study of human development seeks to
understand and explain how and why people change throughout life. This includes
all aspects of human growth, including physical, emotional, intellectual, social,
perceptual, and personality development.
