A. Professional Goals
Goal #1: Develop a wide range of teaching resources for art education
Rationale: As a new teacher, it is important that I arm myself with a wide
repertoire of units and planning before beginning my teaching career.

Goal #2: Work towards building a stronger fine art community within Bishop O'Byrne
Rationale: This was developed as part of a faculty/district goal during a department
meeting. I plan to take an active role in helping this along.

B. Strategies
Strategies for addressing Goal #1: Develop/adjust unit plans throughout PS3, creating a
minimum of 4 new units by the end of practicum (Dec. 22nd).
Strategies for addressing Goal #2: I will set up and begin to run various social media
accounts on behalf of the Bishop O'Byrne Art department.
C. Indicators of Progress Towards Goals
Indicators of Progress for Goal #1: 4 completed unit plans I'm excited about using!
Indicators of Progress for Goal #2: Social media accounts are up and running, getting
consistent attention to posts.

Timeline for Completion
o Each goal should be completed in full by the end date of practicum (Dec. 22nd). For
the unit plans, there should be approximately 1 done per month to stay on track.
