Context

Successful projects require fundamental knowledge in project methodology, as well as professional


leadership. Project management is a key competence for every professional manager. The ability to
understand and match customer needs with project deliverables and the organisations capabilities is
essential. The purpose of the course is to improve quality and increase profitability in all activities
and investments at the company or organisation, by implementing a projective work strategy.

About the Programme

During the programme, participants will base the learning process around projects from their own
companies. Theory will be alternated with practical exercises and group assignments. There will be
an exchange of experience between participants by means of facilitated group discussions.
Participants will receive the book Project Management A guide to the theory and practice of projects, program
and portfolio management, and organizational change, Bo Tonnquist, Sanoma Utbildning, (2012).
Programme material is equivalent to B, C, D level in IPMA certification. SSE Riga certificate will be
awarded upon completion of the programme.
FACULTY

Bo Tonnquist, MS EE, senior partner at Baseline


Management Scandinavia, is a consultant in project
management, marketing, and business development. He
has extensive experience from assignments in
international corporations and public organizations. Bo
has published several books on project management, is a
frequent speaker at conferences, and was involved in the
implementation of IPMA certifications in Sweden. He is
a member of the local IPMA Certification Board.
