NARRATION TO SUPPORT PRESENTATION

SAFETY STATUS:
2,118,660 man hours worked in the project.
No Fatalities reported or recorded.
Total 07 nos of minor incidents including, 6 nos of First Aid cases, Recordable accident 1
nos.
Safety inspections - 606 nos, Tool box talks - 55,396 nos, Safety meeting - 34 nos,
Severity Rate 0.09

II.

RISK REPORT:
The current Risk Report contains 149 active risks, after correction of previous months,
with one new risk and one closed risks this month. The early warnings and potential
changes, their assessments on time and cost impact, and the appropriate mitigations
have integrated in the Risk Register as required. Improvement is ongoing for the risk
assessment of impacts (time, cost), mitigation.
The following table indicates the status of Risk management of the project.

Slide 2, the content is not in order project brief

correct?
Slide 14 requires more clarification about the 30% design
and 60%. Design it is not clear enough, also according to
the milestone schedule the design has been already
completed on 5th of July 16?

Noted. The project WBS slide was added in


the last minutes.

Slide 17, the S-curve for the baseline is not


aligned with the milestone schedule. Please
explain.
The assignment calls for a presentation summary of the
work completed on your project to date; however, several
times and in several paragraphs/graphs, you refer to the
"monthly progress report", and to your achievements
during the month... can you please clarify?

Point taken, agreed typographical error.

The overall presentation and supporting


document lack analysis in general, notably on
the cost over run and lack of quality
assurance.

Yes the quality issues in the NCR caused a


great impact in the overall project as per
milestone Chart MS#09. The project is 315
days delayed and the cost overrun was not
broken down in detail on the report due to
quality issues but it is self-evident that the
project will not be completed on budget and
with poor quality performance.

status, a large number of NCRs have been
raised to date; did this impact your schedule?
cost? And how? Can you please clarify.
- Refer to slide 12, Manpower status/
supporting document Resources status.
Clearly, the graph shows you have been on
average, since the beginning of 2016, 50% of
what the planned manpower was supposed to
be. In the supporting document, it is
mentioned that the current manpower is
sufficient for the execution of the works.
Please clarify, why would you have planned to
have double the amount of manpower if half
would have been enough? Manpower did not
contribute to your low SPI? (although, in 2.1.7.
under reasons for delays, you mention the
first reason resources mobilization)

30% and 60% was defined in narration and


we have noted that the milestone table is not
aligned with the Design Graph.

Valid point. and it shows that team has


missed this point during the review

The manpower was planned as per baseline


schedule showing 315 days, which caused an
impact due to site access delays, delay in
design approval and utility shutdowns
resulting to the delay in mobilization of
manpower
