A masterwork weapon is a finely crafted version of a normal weapon. Wielding it provides a +1
enhancement bonus on attack rolls.
You cant add the masterwork quality to a weapon after it is created; it must be crafted as a
masterwork weapon (see the Craft skill). The masterwork quality adds 300 gp to the cost of a normal
weapon (or 6 gp to the cost of a single unit of ammunition). Adding the masterwork quality to a double
weapon costs twice the normal increase (+600 gp).
Masterwork ammunition is damaged (effectively destroyed) when used. The enhancement bonus of
masterwork ammunition does not stack with any enhancement bonus of the projectile weapon firing it.

Clockwork Mechanism Winder 1500 gp
A small but complex device that fits over the crank of a clokwork mechanism and automaticaly winds
it, taking only one minute of winding for every hour of operation. Preparing the winder takes one hour
per hour of clockwork operation time and can be prepared for up to four hours.
Clockwork Mechanism Overwinder

This device is quite similar to the Clockwork mechanism winder, but runs the clockwork mechanism it
is attached to in an overdrive. The overwinder causes the springs of the mechanism to uncoil
themselves at a quicker rate than normal. The specific effect of the overwinder depends on the
mechanism it is attached to.For example clockwork constructs function with higher Str or Dex ratings,
but only for 25% of the normal running time. The Storyteller should be the final arbiter how exactly the
mechanism is improved. An overwinder and a normal winder can not be used simultaneously.

The Donkey is a new type of Servitor chassis developed originally by a cooperation of Rhulic and
Llaelese Engineers shortly before the Khadoran occupation. After testing of the first prototypes and
delivery of exactly nine completed models the workshop was pillaged by a brigade of Khadoran
soldiers in search of spare parts for their own steam-powered constructs and armors. Only two of the

This device is about a foot square and six inches deep. It is designed so that a specially prepared
circular brass plate called tuneplate (a kind of bardic scroll) can be fed into it. A hand crank, small
steam engine, or arcane condenser in more advanced models, then powers the clockwork mechanism
that is able to read the song recorded on the plate. The device is able to play a remarkable facaimile of
the original. The machine cannot emulate a voice, but it does a good job of replicating most
percussion, brass, or stringed instruments. If the device is fed with a appriorately written bardic spell
on a tuneplate, the arcantric versions are able to cast it.

Early Gunmages
Gun mages have been recognized as a form of magical potential since at least 274 when Llael started
to incorporate them into the Royal high guard.
Codified use of gun mages exists only in Cygnar and Llael as they are the only kingdoms to operate
schools and research into gun mage potential. Notes link Khadoran gun mages to the Greylords as
"lesser" spellcasters.
In Cygnar the development of gun mages started with a group of dabblers from the military who
gradually gained the attention of the Strategic Academy and were incorporated into Cygnar's military
orders.
This dates the first amature gun mages at 515 AR and their shift to professional status in 581 when
Vinter IV created the Militant order of the Arcane Tempest from the Brothers of the Tempest.
Even then gun mages were not a complete class as they appear today until 583-585 when magelocks
became in common use. Since the Llaelese didn't start getting thier own shipments of magelocks until
after 585 when cygnar negotiated the contract with the ironhead conglomerate we can comfortably say
that the first Gun mage to make full use of the class was a Cygnaran member of the Order of the
Arcane Tempest.
Llael predates the Cygnaran gun mages with full incorporation of their gun mages into a military unit in
545.
So Llael had amatures from 274-544, Cygnar from 515 to 580. Profesionals from 545-607 and 581607 or about 62 years and 26 years each.
