Graduation Project
The graduation project is one of the required subjects of graduation to acquire
Bachelor's Degree. The subject content must be completely relevant to the
department specialization and include the following points:

1. The number

of students for each project should not exceed two (it could
be more according to the project works or the number of the students to
the department instructors, then the scientific committee will decide)

Cheating condition is not in the project; if a student failed according to a
join decision by the jury committee due to any reason then he/she will
fail in the first trial

The Duties of Department Presidency


1. The project titles will be announced for students in the first week of the
academic year to choose them
2. The department will help students to choose the titles in case they do
not agree on the base of the third year marks
3. Forming the evaluation and discussion committee of the projects
comprised of: the supervisor, an instructor from the department and
another one from outside the department if necessary
4. Arranging the evaluation schedule preparing halls and informing
instructors and students about the time and place of the evaluation
5. The department warns students who are absent for three successive
weeks at the selected time for the project title according to the
department's weekly sched ule
6. Announcing the first exam marks of the projects for the students as their
yearly endeavor after the evaluation committee gives the results to the
department

The Supervisor Duties

1. The supervisor supervises the students of the project and gives them

complete instructions to start working and how to search for information


according to the schedule provided by the department and gives them
complete information about how to write the project and arrange the
parts
Warns the students to avoid plagiarism
When meeting with the students weekly, the instructor should see the
written parts and if needed correction he/she should inform them during
the discussion and give them complete instructions about the mistakes
and how to correct them, till the end of the writing or stage phase
Preparing a schedule starting from the time of receiving the project to
write weekly student's presence and all the information related to the
participation of the students
When a student is absent for three successive weeks then the supervisor
should inform the department
Before the first exam the supervisor should give the evaluation
committee a report about his/her works

Student Duties
1. According to the schedule by the department the student should see
his/her supervisor weekly and receives information from him/her
2. Collecting complete information about the project
3. Doing all the practicalworks and writing the theoreticar parts
4. Writing the project according to the instructions and avoid copying the
previous writings. When getting information from any reference, the
student must write the name of the reference
5. lf the project needs some tables and drawing images, the student should
draw them again since he/she is not allowed to copy them except for
those photographs that could not be drawn again
6. A week before the first evaluation, the student should prepare a report
to include the works that have been done before, the works to be done
in the future, complete information about the project and submit it in a
file to the evaluation committee members
7. Preparing an abstract and show the important points of the project in a
power point program for each exams
8. A week before the final year evaluation, the student should submit three
complete copies of the project to the department
9. lf the student could not attend an exam in the selected time due to any
reason he/she will be given zero in that exam

Dividing the Scores


The supervisor has (30%) of the marks, the evaluating committee has (70%o)
and the division will be as the following; students only know their first exam
marks as yearly endeavor and the final year results will be given with other
subjects:
