Access Archived Websites

To access archived ePortfolios:
1. Navigate to the folder to which you copied the websites.
You will see a folder for each website you downloaded, as well as a few other files essential for the
computer to access the archives. Do not delete or move these files.
2. Double-click the file index.html to open an offline browser.
3. Click on any of the project titles listed to open and browse the website (See Figure 3).

4. If the ePortfolio was not set to Public View Rights before you began the archiving process, and
you are not the owner of the ePortfolio, let the owner know the process is completed so that he or
she may set the Viewing Rights back to the original settings.
If you see any errors with the website after archiving it, you can find the error log by opening the
folder with the title of that project name and opening the file hts-log.txt Contact ITS for further
assistance.
To store your archived website to an external source, you must copy the entire folder you created on
the desktop, as it contains multiple files necessary for accessing the website.
