This report consists of the finding and information of the Safety and Risk Management
Plan for Zitro Electric, LLC. Zitro Electric, LLC is an Electrical Contracting firm that specializes
in residential, commercial and industrial sales and service. Zitro Electric, LLC is located in
Palmview, Texas. Like most companies in the service business their main concern is the quality
of work, doing it in a timely fashion and of course doing it safely. Safety is of the utmost
importance and there is numerous policy and procedures that are in place to ensure not only the
safety of the employee, but the safety of the customer as well. The person responsible for
creating this report is Jesus Carrillo for Dr. Benito Garza.

Executive Summary
I Jesus Carrillo was granted the opportunity to work on this casework project in order to
fulfill my obligations for this course. It is why I have researched the Safety and Risk
Management Plan for Zitro Electric, LLC. An organization where over 160 individuals are
employed, contribute to the local economy and all are interested in safety.
Interviews were held with Mr. Juan Ortiz, President and CEO of Zitro Electric, LLC,
Alvaro Diaz, Safety Coordinator and Javier Meza, Service Manager to gather information of
policies and procedures with regards to the Safety and Risk Management Plan and practices of
Zitro Electric, LLC.
Findings

Zitro Electric, LLC is committed to providing a safe working environment

for all its employees and customers
Safety meeting are held twice a month and attendance is mandatory for all
employees, including all office personnel. This is done to promote safety
in the workplace.
Everyone is encouraged to give their input in an effort to meet all
employee concerns.
Any and all recommendations by employees to reduce or eliminate
hazards are taken into consideration and are addressed in a timely manner.
It is evident that all employees perform their duties with safety in mind.
Incentives for safety are also awarded to those with the best safety record.

ZITRO ELECTRIC SAFETY AND RISK MANAGEMENT

Zitro Electric, LLC is an organization that has been in existence for over 20 years and is
committed to safety at every level. This is why Zitro Electric, LLC has implemented policies and
procedures and continues to strive to provide an environment where everyone feels comfortable
and safe. Minimizing the risk of the work surroundings is the main objective of Mr. Alvaro Diaz,
safety coordinator. My responsibility is your safety is what Mr. Diaz refers to when asked
what role he plays at Zitro Electric, LLC. Javier Meza, service manager, who works closely with
Mr. Diaz expressed his gratitude towards this organization for its efforts to insure that each and
every employee is well taken care of. He also mentioned how Zitro Electric, LLC is very prompt
in dealing with accidents and constantly trying to minimize the risks. Mr. Juan Ortiz, CEO of
Zitro Electric, LLC states Ive been around the electrical field for many years and know the
dangers that come with it, that is why it has become my personal goal to provide each and every
one of my employees with all the safety tools and equipment necessary for a safe working
environment. There is no price you can put on a human lifethat is why all of my employees
must undergo extensive safety training and be provided with the best personal protective
equipment in existence. For a company with so many employees it is good to know that
everyone in the organization the common mission to be the best and the safest.
The main goal for Zitro Electric, LLC is to keep everyone safe by minimizing the risks at
every level. From the receptionist that is provided with wrists wraps to prevent carpal tunnel
syndrome to the electrician that is provided fire retardant garments that is work on live
transformers all day Zitro Electric, LLC is doing whatever it takes to minimize the risks.
OSHA required training is just the beginning of type of training that has been
implemented. OSHA requirements are the minimum requirements needed to enter the workforce
with this organization. Continuing education courses in safety procedures for all employees with
a supervisory role are not just suggested, but rather mandatory. Everyone must do their part to
keep this organization safe, we really do not have room for individuals who do not think this
way is what Alvaro Diaz has been instilling in the minds of all employees. Safety is
everyones responsibility is what Mr. Ortiz likes to remind everyone every chance he gets.
The professional and safety behavior of all the employees at Zitro Electric, LLC is of the
utmost importance and is essential in order to be able to provide the best service and quality of
work that this organization provides. A good safety and risk management plan is only one of
many components necessary for the success of Zitro Electric, LLC, therefore all employees are
trained and motivated on a regular basis to ensure that everyone works collaboratively for a
common goal which is serving the customer while maintaining a good business rapport with all
persons they come in contact with on a daily basis.

Summary
Zitro Electric, LLC is an electrical contractor that is committed to serving its customers
with the best service with a mindset that is continuously on improving all the safety practices.
The safety and risk management plan that has been implemented by this organization over the
years has contributed to the success of the company as a whole while implementing a safety
initiative that is second to none. The above mentioned policies, procedures, means and methods
are only a brief synopsis of the safety and risk management plan set in place by Zitro Electric,
LLC and there is much more that has been endorsed by this company.
