Look under the cardiac bypass videos and answer the following:

Why would a patient need this surgery?

Describe this procedure
Before the procedure your blood and urine will be tested, X-rays
will be taken of your chest and a EKG will record the activity of
your heart.
Then they will numb the area, a small incision below collar bone,
pacemakers lead will be inserted into the subclavian vein and
then threaded toward the heart until it reaches the right atrium,
x-rays will be viewed to position the threads correctly, then
connected to a pulse generator, placed in a small pouch made by
surgeon and then sewed back up.
Why would a patient have this procedure done
A patient would have this procedure done if their heart
conduction system, the electrical system is not working properly.

and the dark tip of the heart on the stress picture, but in the
resting one it fills in with color and that tells them the heart does

not get enough blood during exercise even though it is okay at


rest.
