DS Agile System
The present document is an addendum to the DS Agile System Technical Manual ref. DS Agile/EN M/C60
(system version 5.1.0).
It covers a feature added to the system between system version 5.1.0 and system version 5.1.5:
Addition of a new Substation Local/Remote mode independently settable for each electrical bay
managed by a C26x
The changes are presented as standard "cancels and replaces" existing sections in the chapter impacted by
the system's evolutions:

This feature is similar to the Global Substation L/R mode described above, except that the Substation L/R
mode can be switched independently for each bay.
Remote mode means that the bay is controlled from the Remote Control Point (RCP), via a gateway. No
control command can be sent from the Substation Control Point (SCP) level (except if the bay is in SBMC
mode, see below).
Local mode means that the bay is controlled from the DS Agile Operator Interface (Substation Control Point).
The control commands issued from the RCP are not taken into account by the system, they are refused.
Some control commands, defined during the configuration stage, can be independent of the substation L/R
control mode of the bay: It means that they can be issued from the SCP or the RCP, regardless of the
current L/R control mode. Control commands from a configurable automation (ISaGRAF) are accepted,
regardless of the current L/R mode.
Note:
The substation L/R mode per bay can only be used in bays managed by a C26x. This means that the datapoint MUST
NOT be placed under bays managed by gateways or protection IEDs for instance.
Note:
The global substation L/R mode and the substation L/R mode per bay are mutually exclusive. When the L/R mode per
bay is declared in a database, the global L/R mode MUST be set to REMOTE by default and must not be switchable.

SBMC MODE
The SBMC (Site Based Maintenance Control) mode is used to control a specific bay from the controllers
Local HMI or from the systems Operator Interface even if the substation is in remote mode. This feature is
normally used during commissioning and maintenance operations. It also makes it possible to filter the data
transmitted from the bay to the SCADA.
The Gateway manages the filtering of SBMC-dependant datapoints in both directions (control and indication)
so that:
While in SBMC mode, an electrical bay does not receive, and therefore does not execute, SBMCdependent xPC commands received from the Remote Control Point (RCP), even if the substation is in
remote mode and whatever device manages them,
Whatever the device that manages them, SBMC-dependent information signals from a bay in SBMC
mode are not forwarded to the RCB and are suppressed or substituted with a preset value instead.
All the information signals received from C26x BCUs and IEDs, as well as from the IEC 61850/IEC 61850
Gateway's lower level, can be sent to the RCP when the SBMC mode is not active.
The datapoints that control and indicate SBMC mode for an electrical bay can be managed by the following
devices:

The diagram below shows an example of configuration where the SBMC mode allows blocking the
commands from the SCADA and filtering information datapoints:

The availability of SBMC filtering is defined independently for each electrical bay during the configuration
process.
Note:
An SBMC SPS datapoint covers all the SBMC-dependent datapoints of its electrical bay, including datapoints managed
by a device other than the one that manages the SBMC SPS. It cannot manage any other datapoint.
1.10.3.5
A configuration attribute allows you to define that the IEC61850 / IEC61850 gateway must use the
Substation Local/Remote information. The Substation Local/Remote xPS comes from the lower
IEC 61850-8-1 network.
Note:
Substation Local/Remote per bay can only be used in single ring Station Bus networks; it cannot be used in an
IEC 61850/IEC 61850 architecture.
