These House Rules (hereinafter the Rules) are obligatory for all persons who have entered into a lease
relationship with the Dormitory of the Catholic Ming Yuan College.
The Rules determine and regulate the tenants relations with the Dormitory and specify the rules of
behaviour.
The House Rules are effective until the publication of the Rules. The Dormitory is entitled to make
alterations and additions to the Rules, publishing them immediately after approval.
GENERAL RULES OF DORMITORY
1. Boarders must pay the board and lodging worth of Php 1000.00 in the beginning of each month.
2. Boarders must be in their dormitory before or no later than 10:00 pm.
3. Visitors shall be entertained only at the school premises to maintain residents' privacy. Male visitors and
non-residents are not allowed beyond the receiving area unless permission has been secured from the
dorm supervisor.
4. Boarders are not allowed to wander to dim areas in the School (e.g. oratorio, garden, etc.) starting 9:00
P.M.
5. To avoid accidents, storing and possession of hazardous items is strictly prohibited.
6. Boarders must seek permission on any electrical appliance brought inside the dormitory to evaluate
whether such appliances are dangerous or fire hazard.
7. The dorm supervisor is neither responsible nor liable for loss, theft, or damage to any resident jewelry,
high-priced materials, large amount of money, etc.
8. Since the dormitory is considered as second home, residents are equally responsible for keeping it clean.
They are also responsible for the care and condition of the room they occupy.
9. Silence must be observed at all times to maintain a healthy, noise-free environment.
10. Removal, alteration, or modification of furniture is strictly forbidden. Use of tacks, pins, staples, and
other hardware leave holes in the walls shall be fined.
11. Pets and animals of any nature are not permitted inside the dormitory.
12. Hanging of clothes shall be at designated areas only.
13. Lights off shall be enforced at 11:00 P.M.
14. The dorm supervisor reserves the right to enter at any time and on any part of the dormitory with due
cause and as the need arises. This shall be done to ensure orderliness inside the residence.
15. Boarders are bounded by the Institutions policies. Any violation, therefore, shall be dealt with
accordingly.
16. Boarders must learn how to conserve water and electricity. Abuse of water and electricity will have an
additional charge.
17. It is prohibited to drink alcohol, use narcotic and toxic substances; to be or move in the Dormitory and in
the premises of the Dormitory under the influence of alcohol, narcotic or toxic substances.
18. Any violation of the dormitory rules and regulations shall be subject to sequential penalties stated below:
a. First Offense - Verbal warning
b. Second Offense - Written warning to resident
