Outcomes:
Students will improve their skill development in passing accuracy by partaking in the game
because they will be given many opportunities to pass to a specific target.
Students will improve their defensive technique by partaking in the game because they will have
many chances to focus on defensive technique throughout the exercise.
Rules:
1. No slide tackling/rough play.
2. Points are awarded at the end of game through goal differential. I.E if team 1
knocks 2 of the team 2s soccer balls off the cone and team 2 knocks 3 soccer balls off
the cone team 2 is the winner and will be awarded 1 point.
3. When the ball is knocked off the cone, the team that conceded a point will start
from their end line with the ball.
4. Students may not be within 5 yards of the balls that are places on the cones.
5. Games will start and end on the whistle. (5 minutes)
Safety Tip:
Do not kick the ball into the air. The point of the game is to pass the ball on the ground. If the
ball is in the air whoever kicks the ball will be taken out for 1 minute.
Extension Up:
Student must make 5 passes before attempting to hit the ball
Extension Down:
Students will be allowed to step within the 5 yard barrier
Soccer: Sideline Soccer
2 teams of 10 players each selected by numbering off by 2
There will be 10 players on the field at a time, the other 10 will surround the field.

Up: Every 15 passes is equal to 1 point
Down: Every 5 passes is equal to 1 point
Students may dribble up to the

player if they have trouble with accuracy

Outcomes:
Students will improve their dribbling technique.
Students will improve their ability to find open space.
Rules:
1. Game will start and end on the whistle.
2. Students must knock a players ball out of play in order to gain a point
3. Students must knock every players ball out of play before attacking a player for a
second time.
4. Students may not double team players.
5. Students must stay inside the lines in order to attempt to knock a ball out of play.
Safety tip
Be aware of how you try and steal the ball. Only try and get the ball from the waist down in.

Rules and regulations
1. Games will start and end on the whistle.
2. All rules of basketball are present other than the out of bounds rule.
3. Students on the outside have 3 seconds to pass the ball back into play, to the
team they received the ball from. If they do not, they will have to turn the ball over to the
opposing team.
4. Students must use the outside players at least once before scoring a basket.
Safety Tip:
Be aware of what is going on in gameplay so that a ball does not come at you when you are not
looking.
Extension
Up:
All students on the court must touch pass have the ball at least once.
The ball must be passed outside at least 3 times.
Down:
Students will not have to pass the ball outside when they get the ball.
Students on the outside will have 5 seconds to pass the ball back into play.
