Junior Beta Club

There are four officer positions in our Chapter of the Junior Beta Club: President, Vice
President, Secretary, and Treasurer

President: The president will be responsible for conducting monthly meetings and performing any other
leadership responsibilities requested of him/her throughout the year by the Beta Sponsors. The President has to
attend every Meeting Held by Jr. Beta and He/ She will have to plan the agenda for the rest of his/her term. The
President Also has the most time committed to The Jr. Beta Club at FSMS. He/She will work with the Vice
President to promote club service projects and Plan Committees for club events. The President is also
responsible for attending and leading all Committees.
Lead meetings, induction ceremony, address club on major issues
Work closely with the sponsors on club decisions (probations, dismissals)
Lead executive committee concerning their duties
Meet with Executive committee and sponsors monthly
Vice President: The vice president will work to develop service projects of interest to the majority of members.
The projects should be of value to the Beta Club membership or entire school or the community. In Absent of
the President the Vice President will be the presiding officer.

Coordinate and lead all team leaders

Secretary: The secretary should be detail-oriented and willing to keep excellent records of membership along
with detailed notes from monthly meetings. These notes will be kept organized in a notebook and returned to
the club advisor at the end of the year as a record of activities for the year. This person should also be willing to
write thank-you notes to adults and organizations that assist the Beta Club during the term of office.

Treasurer: The treasurer will be responsible for reporting the balances in the club account periodically
throughout the year. This person will also be responsible for collecting service project logs. He/She will tally the
information to determine eligibility for club membership the following school year. The treasurer will also
work closely with the school bookkeeper by filling out paper work and turning over funds for any money raised
by Junior Beta.

If you are running for office, you must deliver a 2-3 minute speech describing who you are, your
leadership skills, what makes you the best candidate for the position and what specific ideas you
have to make FSMSs Beta club the best in the areas of service, leadership and scholarship!
Speeches will be done on January 18, 2017 during the Monthly Meeting in front of the entire club.

January 10, 2017rather you are one of the top 2 to go to the main election on
February 15, 2017
