Responsible for interpreting diagnostic and therapeutic tests, prescribing some medicines, assist with
provision of surgical care, and helps with admitting and transmitting patients.
Skills needed for this job include reading comprehension, active listening, critical thinking, judgement and
decision making, time management, and negotiation.
To become a Nurse Practitioner, you must:
Take High School science classes
have a medical-related major in college
obtain your Masters Degree
and get an NP degree
Nurse practitioners should be patient, caring, encouraging, and aware.

A state license is required.

No physical tests are required to become a nurse practitioner.

Diagnostic - Phlebotomist

Phlebotomists identify the best methods for retrieving specimens, preparing lab tests, and
performing screening procedures.
Responsibilities include collecting blood samples from patients, label vials with names of patients,
figure out the best method for blood collection, transfer specimen samples to the lab, and practice
infection control.
Required skills are attention to detail, computer proficiency, and hand-eye coordination.
To become a Phlebotomist you need to:
have taken high school science classes and majored in a medical-related subject in college.

The typical personality traits of a phlebotomist are empathy, good communication skills, and being
able to work well under stress.
Phlebotomists need a licence and it is also recommended that they get a phlebotomy certification.
There are no special physical requirements for phlebotomists. They just need to have good
communication skills.

Health Informations - Medical Transcriptionist

A medical transcriptionist listens to the recording of a doctor or other healthcare professionals and they
interpret the dictation on the recording into test results, operative reports, and referral letters.
They also enter medical reports into health records and translate the abbreviations into a long summary of
what the patient needs.
Some essential skills of being a Medical Transcriptionist are good typing skills, an eye for detail, ability of
multitasking, and computer literacy.
Classes you should take:

take high school courses including English, Computer applications, and anatomy and
physiology.

they need to be, and also receiving the supplies on time.

High school classes - take plenty of science and math courses, some business classes, to build your

communication skills take English, drama, and speech classes. Maybe even be involved with student
government or leadership.

treatments, vaccines, and drugs for human illnesses /diseases.
Essential skills needed include having an enquiring mind and be good at solving problems.
How to become a Biomedical Chemist:
A high school curriculum rich in laboratory sciences
A minimum degree of a bachelor of science in biological chemistry
Associate's degree
Licensure is required for those who treat patients
PHD is typically required
Post doctoral work is recommended
A great Biomedical Chemist needs to be/ have empathy, problem-solving , listening, and communication
skills, hardworking, and pay attention to detail.
