NOW IN TWELVE (12) YEARS OF ITS EXISTENCE, the school has successfully
conducted a series of seminars for local and International companies. The clients of
these programs have retained the services of the school for their future training
programs, the participants have advanced in their fields and the roster of lecturers and
experts have been invited for in-house consultations. This is has inspired the PSIA to
provide more integrated and extensive programs.
PSIA global competitiveness addresses more than just supplying the spiraling
quantitative demand for manpower in the Instrumentation and Control industry- but
rightly so, benchmarking as well for Qualitative Excellence. The qualitative excellence
is best reflected in three basic institutional components, Curriculums, Faculty, Facilities.
HISTORY OF PSIA
PHILASIA SCHOOL OF INSTRUMENTATION AND AUTOMATION (PSIA) was
organized initially in January 2003 and registered with the SECURITIES AND
EXCHANGE COMMISSION on October 21, 2003. The school was founded by the five
past presidents of the PHILIPPINE INSTRUMENTATION AND CONTROL SCOCIETY
(PICS) www.facebook.com/picsnational and members in the TESDA* Advisory and
Expert Panels for the Electronics Sector and for Instrumentation & Control Sub-sector,
in their desire to hasten the professionalization of Instrumentation & Control
practitioners. A critical analysis of the needs and growth of the industry made them
realize that the supply of competent and competitive technicians and engineers will not
be able to meet the demands of the industry not only locally, but also globally. The
underscored the urgency of training technicians/engineers and developing programs to
ensure that the professions remain competitive.
*TESDA (Technical Education and Skills Development Authority) is a government regulating office that provides guidelines for
technical education curriculum in the Philippines
MISSION
TO INSTRUCT, TRAIN AND DEVELOP WORLD-CLASS TECHNICIANS AND
TECHNOLOGIST WITH THOROUGH EDUCATION AND TECHNICAL SKILLS IN THE
FIELDS OF INSTRUMENTATION AND AUTOMATION, ELECTRONICS AND
COMMUNICATIONS, ELECTRICAL, AND COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY, IN LINE WITH
THE GUIDELINES AND COMPETENCY STANDARDS SET FORTH BY TECHNICAL
EDUCATION AND SKILLS DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY (TESDA)
VISION
TO BE THE LEADING EXPONENT OF INSTRUMENTATION AND AUTOMATION
TRAINING IN ASIA PACIFIC. PSIA SHALL ULTIMATELY BE A CENTER OF
TECHNICAL AND TECHNOLOGICAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS AS SEEN IN ITS
FACULTY AND GRADUATES.
