Principles of Learning

Teaching behavior of a Teacher/Learning

behavior of Learner as proof of the
Application of the Principle of Learning

1.Learning is an experience which

occurs inside the learner and is
activated by the learner.

Teacher read and pronounce clearly the

words e.g. Teacher will read sistersss-iii-sss-tt-eee-rrr-sister, then she lets
the pupils read it again and then ask
somebody to read it loud and clear

2. Learning is the discovery of the

personal meaning and relevance of
ideas.

Learners learned that bats are not that

spooky and dangerous at all after
listening to their biology teacher.

3. Learning is a consequence of
experience

Teacher encourages the learners to

share what they had experience from a
fieldtrip

4. Learning is cognitive and

collaborative.

We learn by experimenting e.g. learning

about plants and we learn best when we
share it to other people

5. Learning is an evolutionary process

6. Learning sometimes a painful

process,

As the learner grow older, the learning

process is becoming wider e.g. in math ,
it is not as 1+3 anymore in high school,
the learners already learned that math
has branches just like geometry and
trigonometry.
Little Janis hates her tutor because she
supposedly watch her favorite cartoons
at five oclock in the afternoon but she
and her tutor locked up in a room so
that there will be no more distractions
for little Janis to concentrate the lessons
the tutor wanted her to learn.

7. Best resource of learning is oneself.

Learners learn best when the learner is

actively cooperating with the learning
process just like attending seminars or
meeting and also accumulating books or
reading materials as a source of
information for a certain topic.

8. The process of learning is emotional

as well as intellectual.

The learners if in good mood like to

listen and cooperate with the lessons
but when in their bad mood, opposite
things happens.

9. The process of problem solving and

learning is highly unique and individual.

In a classroom setting, there are

different kinds of learners, a slow,
average and fast learner that is why
teacher must create different ways on
how to learn so that she can provide the
different needs of every learner to learn.

My Analysis
1. What is the impact of the resource Teachers observance of these
principles on the teaching-learning process and on the learners?
The principles serve as a guide for Resource Teacher on how to deal
the learners and what kinds of ideas and strategies she could use
on the teaching-learning process. These principles if just followed
responsibly can avoid undesirable effects on learning.

2. Which learning principle was applied most?

We think that the learning principle that applied most is the
principle number 1 because if the learners dont have appeal to a
certain learning then this learning experience could turn out into
junk, e.g. If teacher is telling story and the pupils did not pay
attention then it means that the story is not interesting or there is a
problem on a teacher on how to deliver the story.

3. Which learning principle was applied least or not at all applied?

As we observed, we dont think that there is a learning principle
that applied least or not applied at all because all the principle is
essential to the learning process between the teacher and the
learners.

4. Do you agree with these principles of learning? Or have you discovered

that they are not always correct?
Yes, we agree with these principles because we can see these on
the realities in life. We experienced these principles before and up
to now because we are still learning especially in school. We learned
so much in these principles also especially, we already observed a
class before

= Principles of Learning in my own Words =

Learning has its own right time to be activated

Learning can be attained though experience
Gain learning through reading
Learning is exploring
Learning is best when guided by professionals
Learning is for all
Learning depends on the willingness of the learners to learn.
Learning is a day to day process until you grow old.
Learning is an indispensable skill that requires continuous practice
and refinement.

ELAURA JANE C. BEHASA BEED2-A

My Reflection:
Yes, Our Resource Teacher adheres to these principles in a way of
applying these principles to her classes. She considers the pupils
individual learning abilities and personalities. She is being active on
how or which way the learners could learn best.

5. The learners I have learned from my observations are, first, put God first
in everything I do especially leading the learners towards God every time I
start a class because I do believe that fear God is the beginning of
wisdom. Second, be ready on the possibilities on what will happen inside
the classroom. Third, this principle of learning helps a lot on how to
handle my pupils especially on their individual uniqueness. And lastly, I
learned that I am not just applying these principles on my learners but
also to myself and gather more experiences and continue to learn.

TAJARDO
My Reflection:
Yes, my Resource Teachers adheres to these principles because she
always considers the individual differences of her learners. She always had
some ideas on how to handle her pupils especially on the difficult ones.

I have learned from my observations that the principle helps a lot to a

guide a teachers in the classroom settings. I found out that being a teacher,
one must study the character of each child because each learner is never the
same.

LAWRENCIO, APRIL JOY BEED2-A

My Reflection:

My reflections on my observations of y Resource Teachers

observance of these principles. Did my Resource Teachers adhere to
these principle?

Resource Teacher is one of the best experiences for me because I

observed them on how they speak in front of their students as a role
model. She adheres to these principles because they did the right
thing to their students and they influenced their students to love
learning.

Lessons I have learned for my observations on the classroom

application of the principles of learning.

The lessons I learned from y observations in the classroom is how to

treat the students equally, how to be a good role model so that they
can act good to others and as a good role model we teach the on
how to respect and love others especially to our Almighty God.
