During the time of the earthquake in 1989

everyone was so excited about baseball.
When both local teams were both in the
world series the 6.9 magnitude earthquake
occurred

According to Matthew Nielson This tornado

outbreak is set to become one of, if not the
costliest severe convective stormeven in U.S
history.

Every year Japan goes through about 15,000

earthquakes each year and because of these
earthquakes there is a higher chance that a
tsunami will be forming.

In the map above it shows the earthquake

that happened in San Francisco. As you
can see above the earthquake that
happened has a magnitude of seven in San
Francisco. On October 17, 1989 the big
earthquake took away 67 people and
caused about five billion dollars of
damage. There is no way to stop an
earthquake from occurring but there could
be ways to be prepared for one. One way
to protect yourself from an earthquake is to
take cover under something that has good
support just like how in elementary we
would do drills in case of earthquakes.

The tornado patterns in the map show the

red line which means tornadoes of a
magnitude of 5 and the orange that
represents the magnitude level of 4. As
you can see in the map it shows the area
around Birmingham is going through
many tornado hazards. According to John
De block the area of Alabama is like a
battlefield of severe weather that would
make air masses contrast in the southwest
to northeast. Because of the air masses
that go in different speeds it has the ability
to spin and create a tornado due to the
rotation of the air. In order to protect
yourself it would be better to go to the
basement and cover yourself with different
items like pillows blankets or a mattress.
Stay away from windows and stay close
to the walls.

This map shows the local scale of the

tsunami that happened in Nagoya, Japan.
Tsunamis occur when movement under
water occur like earthquakes, an
underwater landslide, and volcanic
eruption. If one of those movements
happens undersea it creates huge waves
which are known as a tsunami. In the map
above it shows the color schemes of how
many deaths there are due to tsunamis.
Nagoya was red and one thousand plus
passed away due to these natural disasters
that have occurred. In protection of
tsunamis it would be wise to create
building thats are higher and not too close
to the water. For protection higher ground
would be a lot safer. Although it is not the
most probably solution but its better than
staying on the ground.
