PLANNING

MANAGEMENT & ROLES

PROJECT MANAGER
A project manager is a professional in the field of project management. Project managers
have the responsibility of the planning, procurement and execution of a project, in any
domain of engineering. Project managers are first point of contact for any issues or
discrepancies arising from within the heads of various departments in an organization
before the problem escalates to higher authorities. Project management is the
responsibility of a project manager. This individual seldom participates directly in the
activities that produce the end result, but rather strives to maintain the progress, mutual
interaction and tasks of various parties in such a way that reduces the risk of overall
failure, maximizes benefits, and minimizes costs.
PRODUCT DESIGNER
Product design as a verb is to create a new product to be sold by a business to its
customers. A very broad concept, it is essentially the efficient and effective generation
and development of ideas through a process that leads to new products. Due to the
absence of a consensually accepted definition that reflects the breadth of the topic
sufficiently, two discrete, yet interdependent, definitions are needed: one that explicitly
defines product design in reference to the artifact, the other that defines the product
design process in relation to this artifact. Product design as a noun: the set of properties
of an artifact, consisting of the discrete properties of the form (i.e., the aesthetics of the
tangible good and/or service) and the function (i.e., its capabilities) together with the
holistic properties of the integrated form and function. Product design process: the set of
strategic and tactical activities, from idea generation to commercialization, used to
create a product design. In a systematic approach, product designers conceptualize and
evaluate ideas, turning them into tangible inventions and products. The product
designer's role is to combine art, science, and technology to create new products that
people can use. Their evolving role has been facilitated by digital tools that now allow
designers to communicate, visualize, analyze and actually produce tangible ideas in a
way that would have taken greater manpower in the past. Product design is sometimes
confused with (and certainly overlaps with) industrial design, and has recently become a
broad term inclusive of service, software, and physical product design. Industrial design
is concerned with bringing artistic form and usability, usually associated with craft design
and ergonomics, together in order to mass-produce goods. Other aspects of product
design include engineering design, particularly when matters of functionality or utility
(e.g. problem-solving) are at issue, though such boundaries are not always clear.
SOUND PRODUCER
An audio engineer works on the recording, manipulation using equalization and electronic
effects, mixing, reproduction, and reinforcement of sound. Audio engineers work on the
"...technical aspect of recordingthe placing of microphones, pre-amp knobs, the setting
of levels. The physical recording of any project is done by an engineer ... the nuts and
bolts." Many audio engineers creatively use technologies to produce sound for film, radio,
television, music, electronic products and computer games. Audio engineers also set up,

sound check and do live sound mixing using an audio console and a sound reinforcement
system for music concerts, theatre, sports games and corporate events.

Alternatively, the term "audio engineer" can refer to a scientist or professional engineer
who holds a B.Sc. or M.Sc. who designs, develops and builds new audio technologies
working within the fieLD OF ACOUSTICAL ENGINEERING. Audio engineering concerns the
creative and practical aspects of sounds including speech and music, as well as the
development of new audio technologies and advancing scientific undeRSTANDING OF
AUDIBLE SOUND.
SOFTWARE PROGRAMMER
programmer, computer programmer, developer, dev, coder, or software engineer is a
person who writes computer software. The term computer programmer can refer to a
specialist in one area of computer programming or to a generalist who writes code for
many kinds of software. One who practices or professes a formal approach to
programming may also be known as a programmer analyst. A programmer's primary
computer language (Assembly, COBOL, C, C++, C#, Java, Lisp, Python, etc.) is often
prefixed to these titles, and those who work in a Web environment often prefix their titles
with Web. The term programmer can be used to refer to a software developer, Web
developer, mobile applications developer, embedded firmware developer, software
engineer, computer scientist, or software analyst. However, members of these
professions possess other software engineering skills, beyond programming; for this
reason, the term programmer, or code monkey, is sometimes considered an insulting or
derogatory oversimplification of these other professions. This has sparked much debate
amongst developers, analysts, computer scientists, programmers, and outsiders who
continue to be puzzled at the subtle differences in the definitions of these occupations
PRODUCTION PAPERWORK
The production paper work is all of my plans that I
have created such as my Gantt chart these are all
things that I have done myself and are helpful in the
line of production for my ident. This also includes my
dope sheets and my storyboards that I have talked
about in my proposal. There is also my ILP that helps
me to keep track of where I am up to with all of my
work as I record what it is that I have done each day
and underneath all of the days up until the deadline it
says what task I should be up to. The production
paperwork is important for the client and also myself
to see where I am up to with the main production and
also what the final ident is more or less going to look like. As I will show the client my
dope sheet and the storyboards. Below I will
have a bunch of screenshots of all of my
production work
