PURPOSE OF JOB
Carry out day-to-day activities pertaining to the full range of financial services
Assist the Finance Manager with administration and financial management on an on-going basis
CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT
Team Structure
The position will be part of a national team consisting of Finance and Procurement Officers. Head
Procurement and a Finance Manager reporting directly to Director Business Support Services. This team
will be based out of Karachi
ACCOUNTABILITIES,RESPONSIBILITIES AND MAIN DUTIES

Responsible for month-end preparation and reconciliation of bank statements and income

Reconcile the general ledger, prepare weekly journal summaries for Shared Services Center
(SSC) Hub in India

Support operational teams in running financial reports, to help ensure transactions are correctly
recorded
and entered into the computerised accounting system, SAP

Parking and posting journal entries in SAP

Assist FM in preparing and monitoring Finance/Resources budget

Maintain financial files and records as per Information Management retention schedules

Monthly creditor reconciliations meet Financial Control and Compliance Framework


(FCCF)standards

Manage petty cash and ad hoc miscellaneous income

Payment runs - hub and local - inc tracking of late payments

Support Finance Managers /Operations teams in daily management of purchase orders

Prepare batch payments for online banking runs and off-system payments

Liaison with SSC Hub in India on routine payment enquiries

Liaison with SSC Hub in India on monthly bank reconciliation process


Prepare regular and ad hoc financial returns as required

Daily transfer of invoices to SSC Hub in India

Support Finance Managers /Area Directors in carrying out periodic checks

Some travel within Pakistan might be required for training and workshops.
