1. Name and description of trade


1.1.The name of the trade is Electronic Applications
1.2 Electronic Applications encompasses all occupational skills that
assemble, maintain, repair and fault find electronic equipment and
electronic assemblies.
2. Scope of Test As per written Agreement:
2.1 Scope of Test
A. Theory ..1 hr. 30 pts
- The competing province will prepare 5 questions 6 copies/question
- One question per sheet, preferably with drawing/schematic diagram
- Multiple choice with key to correction & solution if applicable
- The number of questions will be distributed equally to participating
province.
- Draw lot will apply for the remaining item
- The theory question will be composed of 30 items only
- Compilation of the theory questions will be done on the contest
proper
- Scope of question will be electrical principles, basic electronics, radio
& TV system & Logic Gates
- Validation of theory question will be done before the examination.

* Allowance of thirty minutes is given to the competitor to check the
parts of the kit supplied by the host
* The IC in the kit is allowed to be replaced before competition start

2.2 Plans & Drawings


The kits manual will be followed
2.3 Tools
Each participating province will bring their own tools.
2.4 Contest Materials
Participating province will provide the contest materials.
2.5 Equipment
All equipment will be provided by the participating province.
2.6. Arrival of the Participating Region
The participating province should be present 1 day before the competition
date for orientation and final briefing.
2.7 No deduction on the agreed test package but addition of rules,
instructions is allowed
2.8 No revision of test package during the contest proper shall be allowed.
2.9 The chief expert will have the authority to preside on the contest proper.
2.10. Assessment will be done right after every test activity.
Note:
All tools & equipment should be validated by the experts.

Theory
1. The test in theory shall be performed by the competitor in one (1) hour. It
will be 30 items test.
2. The Competitor shall be awarded 1 point per each correct answer.
3. The question is in multiple choice type, so that the competitor shall encircle
the letter of the correct answer.

Project Assembly
1. The Competitor will inspect the components and tools within 30 minutes.
The competitors are allowed to change the parts before the start of the
assembly of the project.
2. The competitor will assemble a Power On Delay with HC821 and 9V
APT41 featured on Electronic Enthusiasts Projects and Circuits Volume 1
within the prescribed time of 3 hours.
3. On completion, the competitors will submit their assembled Power On
Delay to the Contest Administrator and leave the area immediately.

1. Test project marking
1.1The experts will decide together on the test project, the marking criteria
and the dimensional tolerances on Forms 5, 5A and 6, and they will
prepare the materials list.

LIST OF RATING CONDITIONS ON EACH ITEMS


A. Theory

= 30 pts

The test in theory shall be performed in one (1) hour. It will be a 30 items
test. In every correct answer a score of 1 point shall be awarded to the
participant.
* Preparation of Theory Questions
Three (5) questions (6 copies/question) shall be prepared by each
participating province. Each province will contribute equal number
of questions. Draw lots of questionnaire will apply if the number
of questionnaire cannot be distributed equally per competing
region.
One page per question. Use 8.5 x 11 bond paper and Arial size
14 for font.
The questionnaire should be multiple choice and preferably with
Drawings.
Prepare Key to Correction and solution for mathematical
computation if applicable. This will be used for the validation which
will be done before the checking of the answers of the competitor.
If a question is invalid, a bonus point (1) shall be awarded to each
competitor except competitor with invalid questioner.

B. Project Assembly.70 pts


The competitor will be constructing a power-on delay
(power-on delay with HC8211 and 9V APT41 of Alexans
Project and circuits) in four (4) hours. The criteria will be:
*Functionality in terms of delay 30 pts
Delay is 1 to 10 min30
Delay is more than 10 min .10
*Functionality in terms of switching. 30pts
The circuit produced on output voltage..30
The circuit did not produce an output voltage10
*Physical appearance.10 pts
No burn on casing 2.5 pt
Casing is tightly screwed. 2.5 pt
Ac socket is securely mounted 2.5 pt
Indicators are securely mounted 2.5 pt
Preparation:
The competitor will be given 30 min. to check the components of the kit
issued to him. He/She is allowed to replace the IC supplied in a kit with his own
IC before the competition.
