Eleven days and Rex will be a retireeDarren will take over the helm. My ask of you will be a
bit different, in that Rexs legacy at ExxonMobil will have been set in concrete within the next
few days, depending upon whether or not he makes any extraordinary pronouncements or
unofficial agreements with the Board and Management during the holiday week.

Rex Tillerson and all of you will have essentially 15 years to truly create legacies of historical
significance for yourselves. But it will require that you start planning and implementing an end
to the production and refining of liquid petroleum fuels (as well as gas) immediately, in such a
controlled and relentless decline that will protect the economy and society from chaos.
