One of the valid indicators that the organizational school structure is effective is
when the Magna Carta and Professional Ethics for Teachers are respected and
observed.

How does this


contribute to the
program outcomes?

This session introduces the different school processes within the school structure
and corresponding office functions. Teachers are not expected teach in the
classroom but they also have to deal with different issues arising from their daily
activities in relation to their function. Therefore, they have to understand these
processes in order to navigate the school terrain.

Learning Objectives

After this session, the participants should be able to:


1.identify the different school systems and processes
2.understand the school structure vis--vis SHS typology
3.be clarified on issues and concerns with regards to school systems and
processes

Key Understandings

The School, most especially a school offering SHS, is an organization charged with
delivering school outcomes. To deliver the outcomes, it should have core
processes in place. And each process involves people with clear roles and
functions based on the school structure and school typology within the context of
the community.

This is the first year of the SHS implementation and it is
possible that some of you are new, thus there is a need
to know and understand the organization that you are
now a very big part of.
At the end of this session, the participants will be able to:
1. identify the different school systems and processes
2. understand the school structure vis--vis SHS typology
3. be clarified on issues and concerns with regards to
school systems and processes
ACTIVITY:

1. Divide the class into 10 groups.
2. Instruct the group to select a leader and a

documenter.
3. Distribute index cards with situations that new SHS
Teachers may encounter.
4. Explain the mechanics of the activity
- After the leader reads the situation, the group
will discuss the office/people who can assist the
SHS teacher and the process that must be
followed to resolve the issue at hand
- The documenter will record the groups answers
in a piece of manila paper following this
template:
