A brief history of Quesn

In the year 647 the city of Rogla went into mass anarchy due
to the purging of the god Urth from the small kingdom of
Grodna by order of king Hebin. The looting and rioting lasted
roughly a week before the king Hebin was overthrown in a
coup and was replaced by General Gordus Rowthlin. Rowthlin
enforced strict but fair laws, he believed law was the most
important component in a civilization's success.
Rowthlin inflicted harsh penaltys for breaking any law. While
this led to lower morale among the common people, it also
meant an efficently run kingdom. By 649 Rowthlin had
entirely rebuilt the cities damaged in the kingdom wide riots,
and had conquered 150 miles of land from natives and
villagers. In 650 Rowthlin declared himself god and began
"cleansing" the land of any other god. No rioting came of this
due to strict enforcement for heresy Gordus had instituted.
Rowthlin continued conquering land and made it as far as
Eripna. As Rowthlin gained more land he became obcessed
with the idea of a unified Thalrus, an impossible idea. In 651
he claimed Clari and it set his passion for univesal law ablaze
In 654 Gordus had his first and only son, Quesn. Rowthlin
wasn't foolish enough to believe he could unify Thalrus in his
lifetime but he hoped that Quesn could, so he renamed
Grodna after Quesn.
From 656-678 Gordus drafted and trained a mass of forces at
Clari. It is estimated that he had between 500,000-750,000
men ready for taking the remaining southernlands. At the
turn of the decade he was ready to claim what he thought
was his. He spilt the army in two, he kept one half in Clari
and sent the others to Lokad.

The men in Lokad had 2 objectives: Build a bridge that

connected both sides of the Verso river, and Establish the
city Rowthlin (Rowthlin was going to be the capital of the
unifed Thalrus). The men in Lokad under the command of
generals Hillel and Tysi built a marvel of their time, a land
bridge that streched the entire span of the Verso river. Once
the men had reached the other side they established a
village and named it after Hillel's son, Epany. one year into
construction of Rowthlin the town was attacked by Xanar,
the most troublesome beast in the southern lands. Only 1
quater of the men survived. After the attack Tysi returned to
Rogla to inform Gordus of the attack. Gordus's sanity was
beginning to fracture.
In the week that followed the attack Quesn developed
paralysis due to an unknown alement. Upon hearing this
Gordus went mad. He took his son to the highest point in
southern lands and showed him all the beautiful lands and
rambled nonsense to him, then he killed Quesn as a sacrifice
to himself. Gordus then made haste to Clari for the assault
on Fios as their bridge had just finished. When the time came
for the assault came the first wave had suffered a descisive
defeat. Upon hearing this Gordus called for reinforcements,
but the bridge from Clari to Fios had collapsed due to poor
construction. This was his final straw, he abandoned any and
all reason after this. He later killed himself in an attempt to
become transcend the flesh and become a spirit. The forces
left at Fios abandoned post upon his death and join Tysi in
building his kingdom. Subsequent attacks from Xanar
divided Quesn that over time reduced the kingdoms size to a
tenth of it's former size.
Since Rowthlin's death Quesn has been in constant rotation
of kings but it seems they have settled on King Nohg Judisee.
Who was turned the kingdom back to it's former economic

power.
