Creating and Loading Replica Files Using the Command Line

Creating Replica Files
Replica Files can be created using a command prompt (Start | Programs | Accessories |
Command Prompt). This allows replica files to be created and distributed via user created
scripts to automate their meter program distribution processes.
"System Manager.exe" -create "C:\Path\ReplicaName.replica"
Notes:

-create tells it to create a Replica file

The second parameter is a fully qualified path including the name of the new replica
file.

The "System Manager.exe" is located in the following directory by default:

C:\Program Files\Itron\PC-PRO+ Advanced\PCPROP)

Loading Replica Files

Replica Files can be loaded automatically at a command prompt (Start | Programs |
Accessories | Command Prompt).
1.
Go to the c:\Program Files\Common Files\Itron\Metering\LoadReplica directory.
2.

Type the following in order to load the replica file (be sure to include the quote around
"Load Replica File" as it is the name of the executable):
"Load Replica File" <Full path to Replica File>\Replica Name.Replica
For example:
"Load Replica File" c:\Replica_Files\TestFile.Replica

3.

The progress indicator will be displayed briefly indicating the files are being copied.
