Description
Themeasuringprobe,whichisexternallyremovable,
consistsofameasuringhead,heldagainstthethin,flat
bottomofanentirelyglasslinedbafflethermowell(DR)or
valvehead/stem(SVR)withaspringdevice.Thehead
features2(DR2)or3(DR3)platinum100Wresistorswith
athinceramicsupportwhichareembeddedintoinsulating
materials.FortheDRprobe,abayonetatthelowerendof
thebafflepermitseasyassemblyintothesocket.Spring
pressuremaintainsthenecessaryforcetoholdthe
measuringheadagainstthethincorrosionresistantbottom
ofthebaffleorthermowell.Theassemblyorremovalofthe
systemismadefromtheoutsideofthevesselbymeansof
atool,whichincorporatesanotherbayonetweldedtoan
extensiontube.
