1. INTRODUCTION
The Kit includes the parts required for upgrading the Hawk presenter for dual sensors.

About This Document


This document provides details and instructions for the field installation of the Dual Sensor kit 603-6231668.
The procedure for fitting the kit is given in the Fitting Instructions section contained within this document.

Kit Installation Time


The installation time for this kit is approximately 1.0 hour per installation (Excluding travel time).

Installation includes - Power the ATM down through proper shutdown process.

Installing the modifications.

Testing the dispenser.

And bring live.

The tools required to install this kit are:

Pozidrive no 0 Screwdriver

Pozidrive no 2 Screwdriver

Snips for cutting cable ties

Long Nose Pliers

Dual Sensor Upgrade Kit

2. Fitting Instructions
1. Perform Shutdown and power down ATM
2. Following local procedure open the safe.
3. Rack out the Dispenser Assy.
4. Remove dispenser control board cover (4 screws) Fig. 1

5. Disconnect connector P6 from the sensor comm. Fig. 3

7. Remove sensors from sideframe (2). Fig. 3


8. Cut tie wraps (except on the bracket that secure harness to dispenser). Fig. 3

9. Remove front sensor bracket (2 screws each side) and attached harness. Fig. 4 and 5

10. Remove screws securing divert solenoid and retain, screws (2) are on the inside of the frame. Fig. 6. The divert
solenoid can hang, it need not be removed from the dispenser.

Observe the solenoid flag orientation, flag is

inside sensor gap. Fig. 7.

11. Remove the double gear and belt from the left side frame. Take care when first removing C clip and Pin and
retain for reuse. Fig. 8.

12. Loosen Tie bar screws (2) and slightly open both side frames. Fig. 9
13. Remove (2) screws (1 per side) from the divert gate shaft. Fig. 9
14. Remove C Clip from the front drive shaft on the side frame, and retain for reuse. Fig. 9

15. Remove C Clip from the front drive shaft on the side frame, and retain for reuse.
16. Remove the divert gate assembly (remove shaft from the left side first and then from the right side). Fig. 10

17. Install new divert gate assembly. Make sure the divert gate goes below the shaft as shown in picture. Fig. 11 and
above the shaft shown in Fig. 12.

18. Tighten the screws (2) in the tie bar.


19. Close up side frame and replace all screws and C clips that were previously removed.
20. Re-Install the divert solenoid and ensure that the flag orientation is correct. Fig. 7.
21. Refit all gears, belts C clips and screws previously removed.
22. Install new sensor assembly bracket and harness secure with screws previously removed (2 on each side).
23. Route new harness with sensor assemblies, ensure that both divert and timing sensors are located properly.
Cable tie the harness to the original tie points.
24. Install control board and cover. CHECK that the harness is not fouling any moving parts (e.g. shaft or note path).

25. Run diagnostic test.


Dispense 10 sets of 70 banknotes.
