Select a UAE company you believe to be innovative. For this assignment

you will research and write a report critically reviewing innovation management
within your chosen company. You are to assume the role of a business
advisor/consultant, specializing in innovation management. You will decide a name
for your consultancy business that reflects the topic being discussed. The name of
your consultancy should be typed on the title page of your report. In your report,
use relevant innovation theory to illustrate why you believe the company is/is not
innovative.

You can work individual or in groups of maximum 4.

In addition to a hard copy, students are required to submit the assignment in soft copy
through the TurnItIn. Failure to submit an assignment through TurnItIn will result in
marks for that assignment being withheld.
Your report should follow the template attached at page 2.
Students are to use a minimum of 5 references such as journal articles.
Add a cover page with your name, ID, and Section number, course name and code, and
the name of your consultancy business.

Executive Summary Condenses the essence of report and enables the reader to quickly grasp the aims
and objectives and main findings of the report.
Introduction Introduction to content of report, background, what you aim to achieve. Brief summary of
what you found out. Also, please include the following in your introduction

Economic importance of Innovation within UAE.

About the company;
- Description of the business the company at present.
- Location(s).
- Types of products/services.
- Market(s) it operates within and the key competitors in this (or these) markets.
- Explain how the current economic recession is affecting the company (or likely to affect
the company).
- Other relevant current information i.e. history/heritage of the company, background
information/principles of the company, ethics etc.

Findings what you found out? i.e., comparing and contrasting company documentation (what actually
happens within the company) to text references/research/models.
Conclusion summarize key points and use opportunity to refer to aims and objectives of analysis.
Recommendations what you recommend. For example, are you recommending a formal review of
innovation practices? Have you identified specific areas of priority importance and have you identified
good practices within the organization?
