Imagination is more important than intelligence.

Imagination is like a thought process which expands for those who believe in it. For
others while it maybe as good as dust. Those who truly believe in it make wonders
while others stand perplexed and surprised to this. Its like connecting the dots in
future, combining ones goals, aspiration and dreams. Though imagination and day
dreaming are separate events often misinterpreted. While day dreaming is with
eyes wide open, imagination is with open minds. They are not just sporadic
imagination not but thought out and reasonable one realizing ones capabilities and
potential like a well mapped out path visible only to those who know where they are
heading. Its the first step towards any objective.
Intelligence, on the other hand is a set of skill, talent, capability or knowledge which
are absolutely essential to be successful in any endeavor. Adequate intelligence
while plays its part in the process of fulfillment of objective , it has a role to play
upto some extent, after which our vision takes us ahead. Hence, intelligence is of
not useful unless one knows how to put it to use.
Imagination and intelligence have a COMPLICATED RELATIONSHIP. While one serves
as the fuel, other as the engine. One cannot run without the other. Its debateable as
to which preceeds the other. History gives enough evidence to convince us that
both have equal parts to play, hence ones importance cannot be placed ahead of
other.
Right from Renaissance man has shown impeccable resolution for rationality and
intellectual awakening. Imagination have played its crucial role and changed the
course of history through the intellectual revolution either as GLORIOUS
REVOLUTION OR AMERICAN REVOLUTION. Not only individuals but it happens for
societies, if Karl Marx would have not imagined the revolution for a classless society
probably the world would not have seen the RUSSIAN REVOLUTION. Intellectuals
have always payed the path for societies and changed the world order.
Imagination has made science the success which it today. HUMANS HAVE PUT A
MAN ON THE MOON. It could never even be imagined, however intelligence and
knowledge played its part. Science has brought imaginative idea to life .It has given
the world variety of things from electric bulb to the aero plane. Otherwise nobody in
spite of talent and skill would have the perseverance to experiment 1000 times with
filament or be daring enough to take a jump across the cliff in a wooden frame to
fly. All of it has worked and today out life is comfortable and easy because of the
ideas of the past. YESTERDAY WHAT WAS A MYTH, TODAY IS A REALITY. Imagination
has truly proved its worth.
Present world is more IMAGINATION SAVVY more than tech savvy. If one imagines
today, the other day we see the idea being brought to life. Our generation is more
ambitious, creative and imaginative. 21st century has seen the technological
revolution which has made possible things which were a utopian idea in the past.

Setting up business by a 40 year old post office employee could never be imagined
however Jack Maa went on to be the CEO and founder of alibaba.com, an ecommerce giant. What seems to be beyond his capacity he did it through his vision
coupled by imagination and intelligence.
People are very scientific in their approach now. This though gives them the
possibility to explore and discover the new through more wider and
multidimensional approaches. IMAGINATION AND INTELLIGENCE SEEMS TO BE
RUNNING ON PARALLEL TRACKS VERY WELL. However, there are other shades to the
story as well. While this has made our world more inclusive and connected there lies
a vulnerability to it as well. Cyber attack, phishing are just the threats to the
surface. There are even bigger concerns for the govts. , institutions and civil society
at large hence there is a need for constant vigilance and check on the growth.
The Indian tale of imagination draws me back to the freedom struggle. In India, RN
Tagore though his literary work OF POVERTY AND UNBRITISH RULE IN INDIA,
exposed to the masses the drain of wealth theory under the garb of WHITE MANS
BURDEN. Was it not for his intelligence and imagination in coherence Indians would
have never come to know about it. Later Gandhi and Tilak instilled the confidence of
a NATIONHOOD AND SWARAJ in the minds of the people and led us to A FREE INDIA
we speak of today. The world had never imagined a devided land of Hindus and
Muslims could turn out to be a STRONG AND BIGGEST DEMOCRATIC COUNTRY . The
imagination of our forefathers have achieved us a dream. Such a moment comes
but comes rarely in history reminds me of Nehrus independence speech where he
says when THE SOLE OF A NATION FINDS UTTERANCE.
Today India is among the leaders of the world shaping the world economy, polity
and dyanamics. A huge manpower is behind the nation and a proper engagement
and intelligent approach would bring success to INDIAS VISION and imagination.
The global scenario is a critical and shaky ground. Problems like economic , political
crisis makes the world vulnerable place like never before. India need to bet on its
strength and intelligence and be imaginative to achieve its goal.
However, always the imagination will not work out. Failure is there sometimes, but
odds are in favour of those who put the work to imagination. In the words of Steve
Jobs, late Apple Inc. founder- YOU CAN'T CONNECT THE DOTS LOOKING FORWARD;
YOU CAN ONLY CONNECT THEM LOOKING BACKWARDS. SO YOU HAVE TO TRUST
THAT THE DOTS WILL SOMEHOW CONNECT IN YOUR FUTURE. Imagination is like a
steering wheel , it guides you where one wants to go if sufficient efforts are put in.
However, both work in tandem, one cannot be useful without the other. Our
imagination are SEEDS TO THE FUTURE and values to our society. It might even defy
science , it may defy logic but if ones resolution is strong enough then nothing is
beyond ones reach.

saying "Intelligence is seeing what everyone sees, imagination is thinking
