Helpful Modeling Hints

You can place activity objects anywhere.
Single-click the object in the Toolbar to
add one of those objects to the drawing
canvas. Double-click the object in the
Toolbar to add multiples of the same
object to the drawing canvas.
After activities are on the canvas, use the
Shift key to drag or select multiple
objects to copy, cut and paste, delete, or
drag and drop.
To delete an object, select the object,
right-click it and select Delete or click
the Delete key on your keyboard.
Transitions indicate the order in which
objects are performed. Once you have
drawn a transition between activities, you
CANNOT move it. Instead, delete the
transition and insert a new one. Reshape
a transition by selecting and dragging it.
If you seem to be stuck (e.g., every
time you click the canvas, you add
another activity or your mouse doesnt
seem to be working), try:
selecting the Selector icon
making sure that you do not have a
search window open but not visible.
The activity numbers are generated by
Banner Workflow to give each activity a
unique name. The activity name will be
updated when you enter a specific one in
the property sheet.
Activity names may alter the size of the
activity box. You may want to reformat
the activity boxes after youve completed
the entire model.
Use the Zoom icon to shrink or expand
the view of the modeler canvas.
