Recent interest of geologists to investigate the origin of life in Kutch: After long
discussions and with a joint expeditions with experience retired palaeontologists,
geologist are convinced to do further research in this matter that KUTCH is not
only a JURASSIC time land but also existed well before in the pre Jurassic time
as well.
The day 18 March 2016 started with early morning (at 5am and lasted long day till
late night. Return from hills at 11am, heading to Kutch Uni for lecturing
department of Sanskrit at noon, and journey to Dholavira in Afternoon till late
night dinner ) Early morning message received from Dalpatbhai saying his
willingness to joining for expedition in River Gunawari of Gangeshwar dome in
Khatrod hills.
As this time, weather was being hectic and temperature ranging to above 40c,
decided to start early in morning and reach the destination before sunrise and
pack up before 10 am. As then after heat starts soaring in Hills and valley of
deserted Khatrod hills. There is always restriction due to unavoidable weather
circumstance.
Dayarambhai also informed to join us as soon as possible. And he did join on call
to assist with his camera captures. Morning sunrise and wild nature was
wonderful experience in nature. Shiava temple and Darshanam gave strength to
carry on. 3 hour exploration in are with finding of pre-Jurassic turtle fossil by Mrs
Bhudia and confirmed and taken to specimen collection. Fossilised pre Jurassic
river, foot prints and Belemnite, Amonites, wood fossils, egg fossils and turtle egg

hatchery with confirmed pre Jurassic turtle fossil. Amonites and Conglomerate
with Belemnite fossils.
What is Conglomerate?
Conglomerate is a clastic sedimentary rock that contains large (greater than two
millimeters in diameter) rounded clasts. The space between the clasts is
generally filled with smaller particles and/or a chemical cement that binds the
rock together.
When I am saying two different time scale fossils on one layer - Jurassic and pre
Jurassic fossils on the same ground, without differentiation of different layers, I
mean it to differentiate those two different time scale fossils on same
undifferentiated sedimentary layers. This is specified in palaeontology -Geology
as phase two fossils.
Phase Two Fossils: Burroughs Conjecture, The most cogent explanation of
anomalous fossil by Dr. William Greely Burroughs, of Berea College in Kentucky.
Dr. Burroughs conjecture is that a depression in fossil-bearing rock may, long
after the original fossils have been formed, be filled with sediment that in its turn
may also become the medium in which the impression of a body of a creature is
fossilized. When this second period of fossilisation is complete the newly formed
rock may be indistinguishable from the older formation, and the new fossils may
appear to have formed at the same time as those which are much older. Thus,
several fossilization processes may wind up looking like a made at the same time.
This is undoubtedly the case in many instances, but the theory is lacking in
several respects. Firstly, fossilised found deep within rocks that show no evidence
of discontinuous formation, not just at the junction of sedimentary layers.
Secondly, out of place fossils are often inconsistent not only with the ages of
associated fossils but also with the rock strata and the age conventionally
ascribed to them.
Why I use the word pre Jurassic instead f Jurassic fossil land? The land beach
was used by turtles to lay eggs and hatch in the hatcheries. That land has had
gone underwater and then after when the Land lifted again back out of water, we
got those Jurassic sea creature animal fossil of ammonites and belemnites. But
the turtle egg hatchery is time before that else we do not get egg hatcheries
fossilised. So that confirms that the tree trunk fossils, turtle fossils and Egg fossil
in Hatcheries are pre Jurassic, while Amonites and belemnites are sea animals
are fossilised at later time scale.
