VOCAL PEDAGOGY AND METHODOLOGY

Under the guidance of Kim Chandler, one of the world leaders in the field of contemporary vocal technique
pedagogy, there has been training on the main vocal methodologies (Bel Canto, Estill Voice, CVT, SLS, etc) and
instruction on how to apply them to vocal coaching. Special emphasis has been given to areas such as vocal
health, session singing in studio, harmony singing, or vocal physiology/anatomy. Ref: kimchandler.com
PIANO INSTRUCTION
Covering both classical and contemporary approaches, as well as combining technique and repertoire, formal
piano instruction has been received for five years. Accompanying the voice has been the main focus, putting
into practice a number of comping techniques in the context of Jazz music. Miguel Gragera from Benalmdena,
Spain, has been the main instructor.
GUITAR TRAINING
Styles such as Blues, Rock and Pop have been covered to a basic level. Focus on accompanying the voice and
recording basic arrangements for song productions. Both acoustic and electric guitar. Nicols Vargas from
Torremolinos, has been the main instructor.
DRUM PROGRAMMING AND GROOVE WRITING
Basic drumming techniques and rhythmic exercises. Analysis of grooves as how they relate to different styles.
Focus on arranging and music production, mostly using Logic Pro X to create rhythmic sections that are
adequate to the melody, harmony and style of the composition. Instruction given by Jorge Cid, a professional
session drummer and music producer based in Mlaga, Spain.
JAZZ HARMONY
Following a curriculum that aligns with Berklee core harmony courses, all the main and many advanced topics
have been covered. Special emphasis has been given to harmonizing and reharmonizing original pieces.

TONAL HARMONY
Coverage of the main concepts of harmony from a classical perspective, giving special consideration to voice
leading and writing in SATB format. Instruction given by Sergio Gomez from Conservatory of Mlaga.

SIGHT-READING AND MUSIC NOTATION

Coverage of basic and advanced rhythmic patterns as they relate to sight-reading. Music notation skills and
using score editors such as Sibelius. Instruction given by Nuria Martn from Conservatory of Mlaga.
MUSIC PRODUCTION
Directed study in songwriting and music production, from conceptualization to arranging, recording and
producing sound. Instruction given by renowned producer Ricardo Texido (Danza Invisible).
SCHOOL OF PERFORMING ARTS IN MLAGA
One-year study program that covered the main three areas of musical theatre: dancing, acting and singing.

Promoted by the European Union, Eurodynamics was a project that dealt with the idea of cultural inclusion in the
context of Europe through the creation of an original performance that included music, visual arts, dancing and

CONTEMPORARY CHOIR IN MLAGA (ORFEN UNIVERSITARIO)
Choral organization that instructs students on harmony singing and encourage them to participate in public

ALBUM PRODUCTION (WITH BAND NEUROTIC LIE)

Hands-on experience with a real album production at the age of 17, dealing with both musical and technical
aspects of the production under the guidance of producer Sergio Cascales, Mlaga.

Award-winner for two consecutive years of the youth music contest in Alhaurn el Grande, Mlaga, for Best
