How to avoid default fees in the future

PMS ???

Youre automatically charged default fees if you make a late payment or go over your credit limit. Here are handy tools to help you
avoid fees in the future.

Whats a late payment fee?

An overlimit fee is applied when your total outstanding

balance goes over your credit limit. This could happen due
to new purchases, interest or fee charges.

Tips on how to avoid this:

Tips on how to avoid this:

Missing payments or going over limit:

If you miss a payment or go over your credit limit, well

charge you a default fee and your credit records may be
affected, meaning it may be harder or more expensive for
you to borrow in the future.
This could also lead us to review your account and we may
change your interest rate (or rates).
Incurring fees will also mean it could take you longer to pay
off your outstanding balance. Please look at your Terms
and Conditions for further details.

Subject to application and status

Track your total balance You can do this any time on

Barclaycard online servicing, at an ATM or by calling us.
You can also set up text alerts on Barclaycard online
servicing when your balance approaches your credit limit
Review your statement New purchases add to any
outstanding balance you may have for example, purchases
made after your previous months statement. This may
take you above your credit limit. Do not forget, interest and
fee charges, if any, can also take your total balance above
your credit limit. Your statement includes expected interest
charges for the following month. Plan your purchases
and payments
Minimum payment If your minimum payment doesnt take
you below your credit limit, youll need to pay more to
avoid another overlimit fee (remember, you can also make
additional payments at any time)
