fieldworks give only light cover and protection from cavalry
1.2. The plateau is accessible to cavalry and artillery only via the road. West of the town (columns 1 - 3) infantry
may scale the hill as (x3) rough terrain. The plateau is not accessible east of the town (columns 4 - 5).
1.3. Fords may be found west of the bridge (columns 1- 3). Otherwise, units may cross only by the bridge
1.4. The French se-tup first. None of the IV Corps artillery may be placed initially on the plateau or in the town.
The Russian place second and must be at least 15 cm from the nearest enemy combat unit. Until Kutuzov or
Napoleon arrive, Docturov or Eugene are the overall commanders.
