Day One - Technical Journal: Recorded by Keala

Date: 11/28/16
1. The lab safety equipment was gathered by Keala.
2. The green tray and the dissection tool wash containers were set up by Stacy.
3. Makayla retrieved the cat from the bin while Stacy and Makayla removed the cat
from the bag.
4. Stacy pulled some of the adipose tissue away from the muscles of the cat.
5. Makayla and Stacy began to remove the adipose tissue away from the muscles
using the scalpel and the blunt probing tool.
6. Stacy started to cut near the clavicle of the cat in order to remove the
pectoantebrachialis.
7. Mrs. Gilbert assisted Stacy with the removal of the pectoralis major. Keala took a
picture of the muscle.
8. The latissimus dorsi was partially detached by Stacy and Keala took a picture of
the muscle.
9. The external oblique was partially detached by Stacy and Keala took a picture of
the muscle.
10. Mrs. Gilbert assisted Makayla and Stacy with the removal of the external oblique.
11. Stacy partially removed the external oblique and Keala took a picture of the
muscle.
12. More of the adipose tissue was removed by Makayla and Stacy.
13. Makayla and Stacy began to remove the clavotrapezius.
14. Stacy cleaned the instruments.
15. Makayla dried the instruments and put them away
16. Makayla and Stacy put the cat back into the bag.
17. Makayla threw the paper towels on the dissection tray away.
18. Stacy gave the dissection tray to Mrs. Gilbert for her to wash.
19. Stacy emptied the buckets and cleans them.
20. Makayla put our instruction sheets away.
21. Stacy put the green tray under our lab table.
22. Makayla cleaned the lab table.
23. The safety equipment that we used was put away.

Day Two - Technical Journal: Recorded by Makhiya

Date: 11/29/16
1. Makayla got out the safety equipment

2. Stacy filled up the water buckets; one with soap and one with soap and water
3. The group put on latex gloves
4. Stacy got the cat out
5. Keala and Makayla took the cat out of its outer bag
6. Stacy and Makayla took the cat out of its inner bag and set her on the dissection
tray
7. Makayla blotted him with a paper towel
8. The group started to look for the clavotrapezius
9. We couldn't find it, so Mrs. Gilbert came over to help Keala
10. Makhiya took a picture of the cats clavotrapezius with its note card
11. The group cuts away some extra fat off the cat
12. Stacy, Makyla, and Keala look for the acromiotrapezius
13. We find the separation of the acromiotrapezius
14. Stacy cuts it away from the cat and Makhiya takes a picture of it with its note card
15. Keala finds the spinodeltoid
16. Stacy and Keala cut a little of the spinodeltoid away from the cat
17. Makhiya takes a picture of the spinodeltoid with its note card
18. The group looks for the cats triceps brachii
19. We cut some more fat off of the cat
20. Keala cuts the long head of the triceps brachii, so we can see the medial brachii

23. Keala cuts some muscle out of the way so we can see the biceps brachii
