MINUTES OF

ANTWERP TOWNSHIP ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS


THURSDAY DECEMBER 5, 2002
Meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM by Chairperson Glen Wilkinson
Board Members Present: Bonnie Osborne, Joe Stimac, Gary Stock and Glenn Wilkinson.
Board Members Absent: Margaret Grabbe
Also Present: Six guests.
Motion by Osborne, second by Stemic to approve the agenda as presented. All voted in favor.

Motion by, Wilkinson second by Stimac to approve the minutes of the July 25, 2002 meeting as published.
All voted in favor.

Motion by Stimac, second by Osborne to approve the Dr. Thomas E. Griffiths request to put
an addition of 18 x 53.6 on the south side of the Mattawan Animal Hospital with the
stipulation that the new addition does not encroach on the required side set backs. Property
located at 50588 CR 652, Mattawan MI 49071. Property number is 80-02-002-013-20, tax
plate number is 17-B, in section 2 and currently zoned Commercial.

Motion carried.
Motion by Stimac, second by Osborne to approve the Peggy & Tom Baldwin request to build
a carport to cover camper at north end of existing pole barn with the stipulation the sides
remain open. Property location is 58358 CR 657, Mattawan MI 49071. Property number
is 80-02-655-008-00, tax plate number 910 (501-W8), in section 16 and currently zoned
Medium Density Residential.

Motion by Wilkinson, second by Stock to approve the request from Christopher Soudek to
build a single residential house with the contention the Zoning Board of Appeals considers
Lot #5 a buildable site because the plat was inside the village and the lot met village
ordinance requirements at the time of the platting. The required set backs shall meet the
standard of the Village at the time the land was annexed to the Township. Property is
located at 24510 60th Avenue, Mattawan MI 49071. Property numbers 80-46-145-005-00,
tax plate number 1160-A5, in section 14 currently zoned Agricultural Low Density. 300
