The MP40 is the most basic weapon in the game, the rst you acquire, and one of the most useful for the games duration.
It begins to lose its luster in the mid and late game, when the more powerful MP43 becomes
more common. But until that point, it is reasonably accurate, quick ring, and can down basic
Nazi opponents with ease.
Denitely consider picking up the Big Bore upgrade early, and the accuracy upgrades are also
useful. You may not want to invest in the Silencer or the Drum Magazinewhile both are
useful, they arent quite as strong, nor do they help as much later in the game. The increased
ammo capacity is helpful, but there are rarely situations where reloading is a signicant problem, particularly if youre careful with your shots.
If youre comfortable with the accuracy, you can even skimp on those upgrades. But if you have
trouble hitting enemies reliably at medium range, spend some cash and see if one accuracy
upgrade is enough. If not, grab the second as well.

Wolfenstein has very frequent checkpoints throughout the game, so
you rarely have to worry about frustrating restarts that lose a
lot of progress.
In the city hubs, there are checkpoints located all around the
city, so even when youre freely roaming, the game still autosaves periodically.

MULTIPLAYER
OVERVIEW
For fans of Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory multiplayer,
you will be happy to know that Wolfensteins
multiplayer has the same basic structure and design,
but with a few new wrinkles for the various
player classes.
For those of you who are new to Wolfenstein multi, welcome
!
CLASSES
No matter which side you select in a match, Axis or Allies, you always have
access to the same three classes: Engineer, Medic, and Soldier.
Each class has a specific role to play on the battlefield, with Engineers constructing battlefield objectives, Medics healing their allies, and Soldiers
bringing the heavy weapons to the field.
Generally, you should always look at the class makeup of your team
before joining a round. If your team is completely lacking any one class,
pick up that class unless your team is deliberately blitzing an objective
that uses Engineers or Soldiers.
Having at least one Engineer and Medic on a team is very important,
and more than one is needed in larger matches.

ACKNOWLEDG MENTS
BradyGAMES offers sincere thanks to everyone at Id and Activision. Very special thanks to Matt Nelson at Activision and to Steve Nix and
Peter Sokal at Id for their gracious support all the way down to the wirethank you!
Phillip Marcus: Wolfenstein has been around in one form or another for over 25 years. The modern remakes of the classic descend from
Id Softwares own Wolfenstein 3D, beginning in 2001 with Return to Castle Wolfenstein. Enemy Territory, a freely released multiplayer
version of the game still enjoys fan support to this day, and now, the simply titled Wolfenstein from Raven Software is the newest
incarnation of BJ Blazkowiczs struggle against the Nazi forces.
Id like to thank Matt Nelson at Activision for his support of the project, and my editor, Tim Fitzpatrick, for manning the helm of a short
and intense guide creation. As always, any book you hold in your hands is the result of a team of people working together, and this one is
no different.
We hope this guide helps you in your battles!
