specializes in the design of gas plants, compression facilities, metering stations, and pipeline laterals. By building

We are currently seeking Piping Designers (Intermediate and Senior) to join our dynamic team. As an integral
member of the team, you will have the opportunity to work with other Piping Designers and Engineers in various
projects supporting the development and operation of natural gas facilities. Your pride in producing high quality,
practical designs from concept through to commissioning will be a vital part of this diverse and interesting
position.
Responsibilities:
Prepares computer-generated engineering drawings according to established standards and procedures
Develops piping & instrumentation diagram (P&ID) layouts using specifications, standard drawings, design
instructions, plot plans, process flow diagrams (PFDs), and supplier information
Performs and meets all objectives, requirements, and design approaches outlined by various disciplines
3D modeling of piping design systems and equipment in SmartPlant (S3D)
Extracts piping isometric drawings in SmartPlant (S3D) for field and shop fabrication
Designs components or portions of systems, and modifies existing designs to develop or improve them
Reviews, corrects, and completes manual/computer drawings and ensures conformance with project
specifications, scope of work, design parameters, codes, and industry practices
Updates master flow diagrams and location control plans
Analyzes information, resolves difficulties, and makes recommendations for improvement
Reviews vendor drawings and identifies and emphasizes details and specifications for different technical
projects
Communicates and interfaces with other project design and engineering disciplines, as well as clients
Checks and reviews the work of junior technical staff assigned to a common task to ensure that quality
and quantity standards are achieved
May be involved in leading a small piping group when required
Skills and Qualifications:
Post-secondary education with a diploma in Drafting, CAD, Construction or Applied Sciences
At least 5 years of piping work experience is required
Work experience in an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management (EPCM) environment is
preferred
Demonstrated proficiency using SmartPlant (S3D) required

Good follow up skills with the ability to take initiative in completing tasks
Ability to use judgment to solve problems based on guidelines and procedures
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a high degree of professionalism
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy
Familiarity and understanding of engineering codes and standards
