Doubling farmers income is practically impossible without very high inflation in agricultural
products prices
No initiatives to reduce the cost of power supply and improve the quality of supply

Policies like subsidies for open defecation free villages are not easy to implement as designating
villages as open defecation free will itself pose a challenge. Instead, focusing on building and
maintaining toilets would have better implications
Subsidizing interest on farm loans may not be sufficient as most farmers still lack the money to even
repay interest in the event of crop failure
