SHANKARRAO MAOHITE-PATIL ENGLISH SCHOOL & JUNIOR COLLEGE, AKLUJ is

the educational initiative of Shivaratna Shikshan Sansta, where students are
nurtured under the guidance of well qualified teachers. It is an English Medium
institute launched in 1979. It is named after Late Mr. Shankarrao Mohite-Patil .

It is a recognized, co-educational institute affiliated to Maharastra

state board of Secondary & higher secondary education , Pune,
providing education form Nursery to Standard XII.
The School believes in strong academics by integrating the best international
methods with world class infrastructure and technology. Through activitybased learning, multiple intelligence, play way methods and individual student
focus approach combined with Indian Values like, Discipline and Hard work, we
nurture our students to be future ready for both Indian and Global challenges.

Location
The School is located in a very peaceful atmosphere which is 2 km away from
Akluj Town in Malshiras Taluk, Solapur district. The school has a very good
campus to meet the requirements of students in the field of education, sports
and other cultural activities and its clean and serene surroundings with
beautiful landscaping add beauty to the environment. The School is housed in
a well built edifice with spacious, well equipped, well furnished classrooms and
Labs with proper facilities of toilets and drinking water

Every child is like a seed which has the potential to grow if it
is nourished with love and care under the right guidance. In
the current challenging times it is essential that children
should not only excel in academics but should also develop
courtesy, discipline, smart personality, social sensitivity and
be imbibed with the traditional values and culture of our
country. Childhood is the best time to lay the foundation of
the core values essential for the overall development of the
future citizen of tomorrow.
SMPES & JC is a friendly school where each and every student
is understood, valued and attended too. Our students are

Having been an educator for several years, I keenly support the pivotal,
proactive role an educational organisation of repute plays in todays
society. If I feel honoured to be The Chairperson of a seat of learning that
can mould the most significant resource of any nation young,
impressionable human minds I am also sensitive to the important
implications
of
this
enterprise.
Keeping the contemporary global and national context in mind, we, at

time. Others can benefit from it but no one can steal it from
you.
Education in all its forms liberates a person from the darkness of
ignorance, fears and myths. In-fact, it empowers an individual intellectually
and spiritually. The mission of spreading education thus a sacred one.
Our prime goal right is to bring out the best of the human potential in
each child and thus to promote excellence through value based education
with a relevant and continuously updated curriculum and modern tech
aided teaching methodology. Our endeavor is also to transform our
students into creative and innovative individuals who then can emerge
remarkable leaders and noteworthy persons. We expect our students who

School Library
A library is the nerve center for all intellectual research and the main source
of strength to the staff and students. We have a good library with more than
3000 books and more than 15 standard periodicals. The reference section has
a variety of standard reference books on almost all topics at the school level.
We have developed strong library and information services which are
essential to a learning program that values the cognitive, cultural, social,
affective, technological and spiritual development of students in a globalized,
multicultural and uncertain world. Librarians are actively engaged in the

development of curriculum across all learning areas to ensure the integration

of information skills, and a carefully planned library program that is
implemented collectively and collaboratively.

SMART CLASS (Digital Class)

With a view to prepare for the IT revolution, all class rooms in SMPES is
equipped with Smart Class. It creatively employs a variety of media to
personalize learning for different learners and deploys new and innovative

COMPUTER LAB
The IT wing is well furnished with a large number of computers. To meet out
the present trend of education and develop the technological mind SMPES

LABORATORY
We have well equipped and spacious laboratories for Physics, Chemistry,

SPORTS
Sports play an important role in the overall personality development of
children. Various Sports Activities help students to remain fit. These
activities also enable the students to cope-up with the day to day stressful
situations and assist the obese students in shedding off the undesired
pounds of flesh. Students develop a keen sense of Sportsmanship, acquire
the technical skills required to play various games and are better cut out to
meet situations which do not always guarantee success. We aim for
perfection not only in Academics but in the field of Sports as well. There is
provision for sports activities such that students of all age groups can enjoy,

relax and exercise all at the same time. To ensure every child should get a
chance to participate, a special game period PLAY FOR ALL is arranged in
daily school routine for games and sports activities. The School has game
wise specialized coaches for sporting and grooming young talents, giving
them best possible training to become sports star.

Windows of opportunity (CLUBS)

Ample opportunities are available for the pupils of develop their innate
talents or to hone further the skills they have already acquired. Clubs such

House System
In order to inculcate a sprit of healthy competition, leadership and fairplay all the students are divided into houses headed by house captain,
vice- captain and some prefect. The system covers curricular and cocurricular activities.

Tour and Excursion

Educational tours and excursion are effective tools of learning which help
to reinforce the knowledge gathered from the classroom, so school
organizes such tours during the session.

Bus Facility
The school provides transportation facilities to the students. The parents
who want to send their children to school by school bus should apply for it to
the office at the beginning of the academic year.

Our Teaching Staffs

In our School, the teachers have been handpicked through a very exhaustive
and in-depth process. It wasnt just the teachers credentials that were taken
into consideration, but also their student interaction and student handling
abilities. We have made sure that they are fluent communicators who
constantly strive to find new and innovative methods of presenting the
subject to the students in a way that interests them and aids better
understanding and retention. They are trained to play multiple roles in the
