Types of Practice and Evidence:

Bell Ringers- A 5 minute activity that starts when the bell rings. They are worth 1 points each. You may not have
one every day. These are statements or questions that have to do with the lesson for that day. These are turned in
at the end of the first and second grading periods for a grade under Criterion A. They should be kept together
neatly. There are only two or three opportunities for this grade, if you blow it the first time and get a 0 the best this
grade will become with an AD the next time is a 50 which is still failing this criterion.
Daily Assignments- This could be anything from reflections on lessons, section reviews, chapter reviews, group
activities or projects or various worksheets that enhance learning. This is graded under Criterion B.
Article reviews- We will be reading some articles in health class. Some of those articles will require you to read
and either answer questions about the article or summarize the article in your own words. Criterion B
Presentations- You will be required to give a few presentations this semester. More details to come later. Criterion
D.
Unit Exams -. We will ALWAYS have a review before the exam. Criterion C.
Due Dates: Due dates are firm. That does not mean that after the date you cant turn anything in, it just means that
any work turned in after the due date will be downgraded. For example one class late highest grade possible
would be a PR, two classes late a BA, three or more classes late a MI.
Other notes: We will be talking about a lot of adult issues in class. Please feel free to speak your mind because whatever
we talk about stays in this room. I will tell personal stories about things that have happened in my life and I want you to feel
free to speak about your life as well. No topic or question is off limits!!! Im really excited to have you all in class!! Lets make
it great!! Most work that you miss can be downloaded from the SLC site. The code is 007 TT. Missed work is your
responsibility and can greatly affect your grade if not made up in a timely manner.
