Personal Readiness Reflection
Reflection should describe why you are ready to move on to Senior Institute. This reflection
is expected to be approximately one page (250 to 300 words) and should be written in Times
New Roman 12 Font.

Autobiography
Include completed (proofed and edited) portions of your autobiography, 50 Total.

Section 2: Culture of Kindness

Conflict Reflection
Reflection should describe one conflict that was resolved peacefully and respectfully. This
reflection is expected to be approximately one page (250 to 300 words) and should be
written in Times New Roman 12.

Personal Growth Reflection


Reflection should describe specific examples of ways you have grown in personal qualities.
This reflection is expected to be approximately one page (250 to 300 words) and should be
written in proper Times New Roman 12.

Ninth Grade Who Am I?


Describe the Who Am I projects you did in the ninth grade. Include evidence of your
participation in this project such as a PowerPoint printout, photo essay, etc.

Tenth Grade Service Learning Project


Describe the Service Learning Project you did in the tenth grade. Include evidence of your
participation in this project such as a PowerPoint printout, photo essay, video & QR code &
reflection paper

Visual Representation
Include a visual representation that shows ways you helped build/demonstrate a culture
of kindness outside of your Advisory and Nashville Big Picture High School.

Poem to express what personal qualities you need to focus and work on that
will get you ready for Senior Institute.
Section 3: Pursuing My Passions

Cover Letter
The letter should be a letter of introduction to an employer. This letter is expected to be
approximately one page (250 to 300 words) and should be written in Time New Roman 12.

Resume
Update your current resume to reflect 9th-10th grade years.

LTI / Real World Documentation


Include interview logs, LTI call logs, shadow day and LTI anthologies, LTI Mentor evaluation
and your own written reflection/evaluation.

LTI / Personal Interest Project


Include evidence of an approved LTI or personal interest project. You will need to show a:
project summary
project proposal with timeline
evidence describing how you used resources (mentors, adults, bibliography, etc.)
final product
final research paper with six (6) citable sources
teaching demonstration with a lesson plan

Journals
Include copies of your favorite journal entries (3 to 5 typed).
Additional evidence as determined by your learning plan.
WBL Paperwork Completed

Section 4: College and Beyond

Recommendation Letter
The letter should be a recommendation letter (to Senior Institute) by an LTI Mentor or
other person outside (not a family member) of Nashville Big Picture High School.

Time Management
Include evidence of your time management (supercalendars, checklist, timelines, etc.)

BP Guidance Counselor Meeting


Include evidence of a meeting with Ms. Courtney where you discuss your GPA, graduation
requirements, and graduation plan.

College Visit Reflections

Include written reflections on a colleges you visited (journal and/or typed).


Create a College Chart that includes: your top 5 College Choices & the requirements to get
into those Colleges (ACT/SAT, GPA, essay, acceptance rate %)

Section 5: Additional Supporting Documents

Cover Letter
The letter should be from a family member. The letter should describe some of your
personal qualities and accomplishments that make you a good candidate for Senior Institute.

Learning Plan Narratives


Include copies of all of your final ninth grade learning plan narrative and your most recent
tenth grade learning plan narrative.

Include samples of some of your work from the ninth grade. Include your Who Am I project,
your personal interest project and other work you would like to highlight (journals,
workshops projects, essays, etc.).

Grade Level or Workshop Project


Include samples of two workshop projects: one from Freshman Year, one from
Sophomore Year
