4. Beneficiaries of your project:
Master Ayubs School for street children is a 30 year old venture in Sector F-6 area of
Islamabad. This school imparts education to street children during the evening hours
with more than a hundred regular students from impoverished backgrounds. The
school is divided into various class levels from Kindergarten to Matric. Since we were
11 people, we taught the children for the duration of the day and also contributed
financially for the sustainability of the project.
5. Financial Details (including all expenses): PKR 5000
6. Sources of the above mentioned expenses: The money was contributed by the
members of the group.
7. Need of the project, elaborate why was it required at the community?
Illiteracy is a major problem in Pakistan. Although Islamabad is the capital city of
Pakistan, there are a large number of slums and street children who are deprived of
the right to basic education. Illiteracy therefore contributes to various social problems
including increased crime rate and social issues. Therefore, there is a dire need to
educate these children so that they can improve their life through better employment
opportunities. This will in turn increase the socio economic conditions of their families
helping to reduce poverty and promote growth in the region.
8. Planned activities for the project:
During the course of the project, the entire team visited Master Ayubs school in F-6
area. The team was divided into 5 groups and each group was assigned a specific class
level up to Matric. Syllabi were assigned to each team and the children were taught
based on the lesson plan. The children were taught through hands on experience,
puzzles, games and sporting activities. Each team member also contributed financially

towards the school to provide money for stationary, books and other teaching
equipment required to sustain the school.
9. What is the result/ outcome/ impact of this work on the society/ community?
Our effort contributed to the sustainability of an education imparting venture since
there is no source of income for this project and it runs on community donations. Also
it helped to impart education to street children contributing to the cause of reducing
illiteracy.
10. Pictures must be taken to give idea of when, where and how the activity was done and

who participated.
