Jan. 9, Mon.-Ministry Team will meet at 6 p.m. and the Board of Elders at 7 p.m.
Thanks for your prayers for these meetings. If you have questions, encouragement,
suggestions, etc. for our church, please share them with the ministry team. Your input
is welcomed.
Jan. 11, Wed.- JGA, JBA and Jr. Youth will meet at Bowmansville Mennonite from 78:30 p.m. Jr. Youth will be having a Mystery Supper, so come hungry! JGA will be
having a Game Night.
Jan. 15, Sun.- All ladies are welcome to the ladies tea at 4 p.m. in the fellowship hall.
This year Martha Hoover will be sharing with us.
Jan. 18, Wed.-District Sewing Circle will be held in the morning and afternoon in the
BMC basement. We welcome all who have a heart for mission. Bring a covered dish
to share at lunch time; this is something that is done 3 times a year. The special project
for MCC this month are Hygiene Kits. Keeping clean is an important part of
remaining healthy, but families who have fled their homes because of disaster or war
often struggle to afford these necessary supplies. Hygiene kits are also given through
schools and orphanages to encourage healthy habits for children. Contents (NEW
items, in original packaging)1 adult-size toothbrush,1 large bar bath soap,1 fingernail
clipper (good quality),1 hand towel (dark color). Hygiene kits are placed in a useful
draw string bag which is supplied by sewing circle.
Jan. 24, Tues.-BMC, Red Run and Gehmans congregations have a scheduled work
day at MRC. There are a variety of tasks for all ages.
Jan. 26, Thurs.- January is our month to serve those in our community with a meal.
This event is held at the Trinity Lutheran Church along Main St. in Denver. It is a fun
time working together to brighten the lives of so many. Please consider joining us on
January 26th as we walk with Jesus, Locally. Sign up sheets for food donations and
help are located in the narthex. Thank you!
