I am Fred, and I am an umbrella, said
Fred.
It is fun to be an umbrella, he said.
I am an unselfish umbrella because I work
so that things will be dry, said Fred.
I work hard so that kids will be dry when
it is wet, he said.

I had a basketball.
I could see the basket.
Should I shoot this ball? I asked.
Shoot the ball, said my friend.
The ball will go in, he said.

I Met a Man Who Had a Rug


I met a man who had a rug. It was a neat rug.
The rug could fly with the man up into the
sky.
I asked him if I could sit on the rug.
As soon as I sat
