Still use SWIS for CICO

CICO- can be either electronic or paper. Whatever works best for the student
Amie applied for a PBIS grant through MDE to get more training through CHAMPS, coaching book,
money for Cheryl for research, develop assessment for school climate, and extra time for coaches to
meet. Should find out in two weeks or so!

2) 6 out of the 15 buildings are using the SWIS-CICO system. In the buildings that are using it
(Forest, Neill, Noble, Northport, Forest, Meadow Lake, SEA), are you finding it to be an
effective intervention and is your staff supportive in your implementation efforts? For
buildings that havent started, what tools, resources, and supports do you need from other
coaches or from the district? CICO district-wide implementation is part of our CEIS plan with
the Minnesota Department of Education.
PMS and CHS requested additional CICO training.
Question whether it is really a Tier 2 intervention. Since its so individualized, is it more Tier
3?
Secondary buildings would like to try using electronic DPRs.
Tammy created a District Intervention bank for everyone to share resources.
3) How often does your school PBIS team meet? How is your building working on your school
climate SIP goal?
ZLE: surveyed teachers, they are gathering all PBIS resources and keeping in one place.
Steph shared google presentation.
Schools are meeting once a month- everyone has a team
4) Building updates on MTSS. Last time we met, most buildings reported that they were still in
the beginning stages of implementing the new system. Most buildings were still concentrating
on Tier 1, whereas some were working more on Tier 2 and 3 interventions and supports.
Meadow Lake, Neill, Forest, and Northport reported using the Basic 5 and Ecology Checklist
for coaching teachers as part of the Tier 1 MTSS process. How are those going? How are
teachers responding to the coaching process? Do you see a need for additional CHAMPS
PBIS PLC
Steph will send out more information. Looking at meeting twice a month for 1 hours.
Determined we wont need an official lead.
