Role Play Movies

Escenario: It is Friday night. You and your friends are going to the movies.
One of your friends has someone from a Spanish speaking country staying
with them for a few weeks that is coming along and you want to get to
know him/her better. You are estudiante 1 and he/she is estudiante 2.
Estudiante 1: Have a natural, spontaneous conversation. Try your best to
sound like a native. Work on your pronunciation. As the person talks to
you, share what you think about their answers whether you agree,
disagree, think it is interesting, etc.
1) Introduce yourself. Tell him/her your name, how old you are and
what you like to do and that you are glad to meet him/her.
2) Ask him/her what kind of genre of movies they like and dont like.
Ask him/her what some of their favorite movies are and who the
actors/actresses are and what roles/characters they play in the
movie. Ask him/her when the movie came out and how many times
they have seen it. Ask them if they like the sound track, wardrobe,
special effects, script and anything else that you want to know
about the movie.
3) Ask them if they like to buy junk food like sodas, popcorn or candy.
Ask him/her if he/she has seen a movie this week and what it was.
What time, what day, where, and with whom did they watch it.
4) Ask him/her if they are going to watch a movie this week and what it
is going to be. What time, what day, where, and with whom will they
watch it.
Estudiante 2:
1) Answer student 1s questions and ask some of your own to match
the content. Make it a natural, spontaneous conversation.
