The Other Wise Man
The three wise man followed the star to Bethlehem and found the King Artaban, the fourth
wise man, sold all his possessions so that he could bring worthy gifts for the Child Jesus. He
carried the sapphire, the ruby and the pearl but he was delayed. Would he ever reach the King?
Artaban was delayed because, on his journey, he helped a sick Hebrew peasant. After
ensuring that the peasant was all right, he rode fast across the place where the three magi were
waiting only to find out that they had gone without him. So he return to Babylon sold his
sapphire and provided camels to cross the dessert. At last, he arrived at the village of Bethlehem.

A Good Turn
Jose went to the city mega mall to buy an anniversary gift for his wife. He was moving
towards the revolving door of a gift shop when an impatient shopper lunged out. The door
bumped a lame woman, throwing her packages on the floor.
Jose looked at his watch. In half an hour the gift shop would be closed. He had very little
time to look for a gift. The woman in crutches looked so pathetic picking up her packages. Jose
helped her. He brought her to the bus stop. He even waited for her to get a ride. Jose shock his
head as he bought some roses for his wife.
Some weeks later, Jose driving in his regular route. The rain was heavy and so was the
traffic. He found himself in an exclusive subdivision. He was looking for a road leading to the
national highway when his left tire blew up. He was so frustrated when he opened the trunk of
the car. The spare tire was flat also.
Jose was soaking wet in rain. He moved his car away from the driveway. An approaching car
blinked its lights. The car would enter the garage. The driver of the approaching car opened the
window.
She smiled at Jose and said, My friend, I am glad to see you! This is where I live. Come
into the house. My husband will be most happy to meet you. I told him how you helped me.
