This thesis examines using the jigsaw technique to improve reading comprehension among 8th grade students at SMPN 3 Mlati Yogyakarta. The researcher conducted an action research study involving the English teacher, a collaborator, and students from Class VIIIB. Data was collected through tests, observations, interviews and documentation over two research cycles. The results showed that using jigsaw techniques improved students' reading comprehension scores and increased student participation and motivation in reading class activities. This study confirms that jigsaw techniques can effectively engage students and improve reading comprehension outcomes.
