INTRODUCTION

often daily, and include the accounts of the facts alleged recent events.
Newspapers are often published with a view to making a profit. Frequently, they
are accompanied by content and advertising material fact intended as
entertainment. Newspapers nonfactual is an essential tool in delivering the
agenda, policy and governance issues to the public. News reports should be
facilitated understanding of the government agenda, when the media is the main
channel of communication between government and citizens. Newspaper could
be inform, communicate and stimulated the citizen participation among the
people could very well .Newspapers can be mainstream news should be provide
and support the participated of the people recognizing a valuable resource for
the people for the democratic decision-making.

OBJECTIVE
New Straits Times is the first newspaper to introduce the paper in the education program in
Malaysia. The newspaper in Education Unit (NIE) under the New Straits Times produces pull
out education as School, Nester and Journalism at the College with the objective to improve
the command of English among students from age 7 onwards. Since its inception in 2000,
the

unit

has

carried

out

various

educational

activities

and

holiday

programs.

source of entertainment. People, who are fond of sports and games or
